Job Title: Project Manager in Southern Nigeria for a Power Company
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Client
This indigenous Power Company has made vast improvements to Nigeria’s Power sector through its ever-expanding portfolio of Transmission and Substation projects. As such it has a great reputation and is seen as a leader in Nigeria.
The Role
Based in Southern Nigeria and reporting into the Head of Project Management, the client is looking to appoint 3 experienced Project Managers on a permanent basis with immediate effect. The successful applicant will be responsible for the ensuring projects are executed to the satisfaction of the client within time and budget.
Suitable Applicants
With a Degree or HND in Electrical/Civil Engineering, candidates will have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in electrical engineering or civil engineering construction. You will have experience of planning, budgeting and delivering projects and will be experienced in power management and power distribution design. Candidates will be proficient in ERP Solutions, CAD and MS office and will be members of a relevant professional engineering body (e.g. COREN, IEE).
MBAs are desirable but not essential.
This position is also open to International applicants on a minimum 2 year-contact.
Your key duties will include:
– Coordinating all PM activities and managing the Project Team and Sub-Contractors.
– Managing all projects from start to end, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and budget.
– Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance regarding all purchasing functions and commitments of the company.
– Reporting and analysis of projects in order to review and monitor progress.
– Ensuring team efficiency through identifying training needs and implementing plans and programs on a continuous basis.
Salary
