Mothers Against Child Abandonment (MACA) is an independent NGO founded and registered in 2013 by the Wife of the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Obioma
Liyel-Imoke (HE).
It was however incubated as far back as 2008 in consultations with key stakeholders as an initiative under Partnership Opportunities for Women Empowerment Realization (POWER) – an NGO.
It derives its mission from the passion of the Founder/Board Chairperson (HE) for working for the health, protection, and rights of vulnerable children and adolescents based on the strong conviction that the lives of all children no matter the circumstances of their birth and socio-economic background have equal value.
