About the Affiliate
Novo Nordisk Middle Africa, which Nigeria is affiliated to, was formed in early 2012. Novo Nordisk has an established presence with human insulin in Africa and our focus today is to sustain the growth of the market, ensure availability of better quality modern insulin within the markets and support the communities living with diabetes.

The Job
According to the UNDP, with 0.2 physicians per 1000 people, Sub-Sahara Africa has the lowest number of health care providers per inhabitant in the world. The Buddy Doctor Initiative (BDI) ambitions to address this important issue as chronic diseases have even lesser number of specialists to support patients in Africa. The objective of the BDI is to fast-track the upgrade of the diabetes knowledge of GPs from a practical perspective in order to broaden the base of healthcare professionals capable of diagnosing and treating diabetes.
As BDI Project Manager, you will create and increase the BDI community of HCP. You will define the training path and the various sub-initiatives within the BDI supporting the knowledge upgrade of the GPs. You will coordinate the countries’ implementations of the sub-initiatives. You will define the metric necessary to assess the impact of the BDI and evaluate the initiative. You will closely collaborate with the NN teams on the ground and ensure the link between the population of GPs upgraded to NN sales teams in the countries
The position requires travelling 4-8 weeks in a year within sub-Saharan Africa and extensive field work in Nigeria.

Qualifications
You hold a relevant BSc degree (e.g. in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, Public Health, Public Affairs, etc.). You have minimum 5 years of experience particularly in project management. English proficiency is mandatory. You have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You demonstrate ability to see the big picture and provide useful advice and input. You are a problem-solving, result-oriented, and multi-tasking individual, who can perform under pressure.
You are flexible to work with different origins and cultures in difficult and changing environments.
