Renaissance University (RNU) Ugbawka, Enugu State invites applications from suitable qualified candidates to fill the under-mentioned academic staff positions in its new Faculty of law commencing in the 2014/2015 academic session as

Position: Senior Lecturers
Qualification and Experience
The Senior lecturer is a Senior Academic staff of the Faculty responsible to the Dean for the discharge of academic and/or administrative duties that may be assigned to him/her.
Duties:

    Undertaking programme and course planning and development and delivery.
    Reviewing and determining acceptability of course developers.
    Monitoring the progress of course development.
    Undertaking examination duties such as preparation of examination questions, marking scheme and marking of answer scripts.
    Undertaking research activities, workshops, tutorials and seminars.
    Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the Dean of the Faculty or the Vice-Chancellor or from time to time.

Position: Professors
The Professor is a senior academic staff who is to provide administrative and academic leadership in the Faculty. He will be responsible to the Vice Chancellor through the Dean of the Faculty.
Qualification and Experience

    Must have a doctorate degree in Law and be a respected authority in the field of Law.
    Must be versatile in research activities and able to show evidence of continuing research and publications.
    Must have considerable administrative experience as Head of Department, Dean of Faculty or Provost of College in a University.
    Must have considerable teaching experience.
    Must have a minimum of ten (10) years post doctorial research and teaching experience in the Faculty of Law of a University and show demonstrative evidence of ability to hold administrative position in the Faculty of Law of a University.

Position: Associate Professor
Qualification and Experience

    Must have a doctorate degree in Law and be a respected authority in the field of Law.
    Must be versatile in research activities and able to show evidence of continuing research and publications.
    Must have considerable administrative experience as Head of Department, Dean of Faculty or Provost of College in a University.
    Must have considerable teaching experience.
    Must have a minimum of ten (10) years post doctorial research and teaching experience in the Faculty of Law of a University and show demonstrative evidence of ability to hold administrative position in the Faculty of Law of a University.

Position: Lecturer I
Qualification and Experience
The Lecturer I is a Senior Academic staff of the Faculty responsible to the Dean for the discharge of academic and/or administrative duties that may be assigned to him/her.
Duties

    Undertaking programme and course planning and development and delivery.
    Reviewing and determining acceptability of course developers.
    Monitoring the progress of course development.
    Undertaking examination duties such as preparation of examination questions, marking scheme and marking of answer scripts.
    Undertaking research activities, workshops, tutorials and seminars.
    Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the Dean of the Faculty or the Vice-Chancellor or from time to time.
    Except that a minimum of six (6) years post-doctoral research and teaching experience in a University is required.

Position: Lecturer 11
Qualification and Experience

    Applicants for the of Post of Lecturer II must possess not less than Second Class (Upper) Pint Degree and a Masters Degree both in Law from an NUC approved University and must have registered for his/her doctorate degree.
    Candidate must possess a minimum of eight years teaching experience in Law Faculty in any NUC approved University.

Position: Assistant Lecturers
Qualification and Experience

    Applicants for the of Post of Lecturer II must possess not less than Second Class (Upper) Pint Degree and a Masters Degree both in Law from an NUC approved University and must have registered for his/her doctorate degree.
    Candidates should possess a minimum of Two (2) years teaching experience in Law Faculty of an approved University by NUC.
