We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Accountant (Male)

Location: Lagos
Experience: 3 years
Course of Study: Accounting

Main Duties / Key Accountabilities

    Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
    Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
    Prepare assets, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
    Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
    Report to management regarding the finances of establishment.
    Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts.
    Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
    Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
    Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
    Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
    Secure financial information by completing data base backups.
    Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
    Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursement.
    Comply with federal, state, local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
    Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
    Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
    Accomplishes the result by performing the duty.
    Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    All other responsibilities as may be required for the achievement of the company’s vision, mission and strategic intents.

Competencies: Education, Training and Experience

    B.Sc / HND accounting / ICAN – AAT.
    3 years minimum practical experience.

    Ability to look at situations from several points of view
    Delegate responsibilities effectively
    High comfort level working in a diverse environment
    Better if you reside within Iyana -Ipaja, Egbeda, Isheri, Ikotun, Igando, Obadore and Iyana – Iba.
