Greenfield and Brownfield projects to operators in Nigeria.

Major Accountabilities of Position

    Co-ordinate the design functions of the Project to ensure completion of high quality IFC / AFC drawings in accordance with time and cost constraints to achieve project objectives and meet customer’s expectations.
    Particular emphasis on management of producing multi-discipline deliverables and effective coordination of other Designers.
    Proficiency in 3D software for preparation of 3D Models, auto-generation of MTOs, detection and modification of clashes between piping, equipment, cable trays, and structural members, extraction of 2D drawings from 3D Models and general presentation of projects.
    Co-ordinate all design to ensure desirable deliverables are produced.
    Co-ordinate with CAD System Administrator that all attributes in the 3D model will allow smooth production of 2D drawings.
    Work directly with the Project Engineering Manager to ensure the right Designers are assigned on the project.
    Co-ordinate with all Discipline Lead Engineers, CAD System Administrator, to ensure the relevant design standards are used on the project.
    Ensure that deliverable review cycles are adequately completed and relevant Discipline Lead Engineer signed off on deliverables before they are issued.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training

    Academic qualifications Bachelor of Science in any related Engineering Field.
    A minimum 8 years’ industry experience in Oil and Gas Facilities designs and coordination.

Specific Knowledge:

    FPSO and Subsea engineering experience will be added advantage.

    Commitment to safe working practices and ability to promote safety consciousness within the department.

IT Skills:

    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

People Skills:

    Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop effective business relationships, good communication skills, team management and development skills, collaborative leadership style, coaching and facilitation skills.

Other Relevant Information:

    Ensure that the standards used on the project are acceptable to the client and that appropriate approvals of drawings are obtained.
    Prepare the weekly report information.
    Refer any major problems during a project’s duration to the Project Engineering Manager.
    Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system.
    Safety – Responsible for personal safety and safe working practices for personnel working for you and around you. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
