Job Title: Change and Release Management Lead
Huawei Technologies – Lagos

Job description

 To be responsible for all Change Management activities, to include new business planning, Change Advisory Board (CAB).

    Ensures the production of management information, Request for Changes (RFCs) and a change schedule.
    To manage the implementation or transition of new projects into operations
    To manage IT related change programmes and assess impact on the user base.
    Manage all aspects of the end to end release process
    Ensures coordination of build and test environments and release teams
    Provides management reports on release progress
    Responsible for service release and deployment policy and planning
    Deals with release package design, build and configuration

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential Knowledge Skills & Experience

Ability to lead changes of approach, systems and processes within the organization.

Good knowledge of Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Ability to advise and assess the impact of transformation projects on Service Delivery.

Ensure all transformation projects adhere to a strict change control process to minimize any adverse affects to the working environment and its end users.

Accountable in maintaining the integrity of all IT system environments by ensuring strict release and change processes are followed throughout the release cycle.

Accountable in ensuring that resources are efficiently utilized for all shared environments and aligned with an agreed release cycle.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion

Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills

Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
    3-5 years of previous Change, release and/or project management experience
    5-8 years of experience in information systems operations environment
    Formal training in Change management practices required
    Good and sound knowledge of ITIL process/Certification will be an Advantage
    Knowledge of software development lifecycle
    Good written and verbal communication skills are a must
