Our client is an event services management company based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Job Title: EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT – Data Research & Sales

Job Purpose

To enable the organization to achieve targeted levels of sales from a database. Sales may be either business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-customer (B2C). Both types of selling require research and relationship-building skills, promoting the product in question in as professional and effective a way as possible. To provide effective administrative and operational support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Building a reliable database of clients
 Identify and develop sources of potential clients
 Design and develop databases
 Maintain an accurate and current database.
 Ensure that the database meet the user’s requirements.

2. Effectively communicating with clients to achieve sales
 Professionally and effectively employ sales skills to achieve targeted sales.
 Make targeted calls
 Send emails
 Effectively communicate with clients via telephone and written communication
 Facilitate effective communication channels between all companies to maximise sales opportunities
 Be able to demonstrate a full knowledge of relevant selling points and benefits to overcome client resistance/objections to products and services
 Develop and maintain relationships with clients that builds commitment

3. Other duties
 Build and maintain effective database of Media and Press contacts.
 Provide a weekly schedule of planned activities
 Plan personal diary to make effective use of working day
 Provide time-phase qualified reports on achievement and activities
 Maintain accurate records of all contacts with clients
 Undertake any reasonable duties as specified by the Director.
Desired Skills and Experience

Person Specifications:

 Minimum of a First Degree.
 Minimum of 3 years related work experience.
 Good administrative skills.
 Good sales capabilities.
 Ability to manage multiple priorities (multitasking).
 Ability to develop lists and build contact databases.
 Good research and prospecting skills on identifying potential accounts by using Google, LinkedIn, Jigsaw and other tools (social media).
 Good interpersonal (relationship building and management) skills.
 Ability to listen effectively.
 Good IT and computer (microsoft office suite) skills.
 Ability to take initiative and be self-driven.
 Good analytical and numerate skills.
 Good negotiation and persuasion skills.
 Good communication (verbal and written) skills.
 Good presentation skills.
 Result-oriented.
 Attention to details.
