    As our go-to-market lead for West Africa you will have the opportunity to shape and drive marketing excellence in West Africa and play a pivotal role in positioning SES for success in a highly competitive region.
    You will be the primary interface between SES and local partners to negotiate advertising discounts across multiple broadcasters.
    You will lead the development and implementation of a combined advertising and trade marketing plan in Nigeria and, in addition, provide local marketing management support for market research projects in the region.
    As a proactive support for the local sales team, you will be responsible for lead generation, managing local partners and dealing with multiple local customers.

Primary Responsibilities / Key Result Areas

    Lead the development of a go-to-market plan for West Africa that best positions SES to succeed in this highly competitive market
    Lead the development and negotiation of an advertising and trade marketing plan in Nigeria
    Lead the identification and qualification of new leads aligned to our business objectives
    Provide support for market research projects in the region
    Actively participate in the sales process to provide the necessary support needed to deliver the business objectives
    Coach agency partners to continually stretch themselves to deliver work with maximum impact at minimum cost that directly impacts the achievement of the business objectives
    Monitor and maintain data quality within the marketing database
    Track, measure, and analyze all initiatives to report on ROI

Qualifications & Experience

    University Degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent
    Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with a multinational company in a marketing role in the broadcast or telecommunications industry in Nigeria.
    Deep insight into Nigerian B2B and B2C markets – specific insight into the Broadcast industry is a plus
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and other local Nigerian language. A capability in French is strongly desirable
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Competencies

    Training and experience in Project Management and a proven ability to manage and implement multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
    A creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
    Experience in managing technical aspects of key marketing systems (marketing automation, CRM) used to generate, distribute, and report on leads
    Excellent interpersonal relations and communications skills
    The ability to work remotely, independently and across teams
    Proven experience of marketing planning, budgeting and implementation
    Proven ability to work successfully and collegially in a multi-cultural environment.
    A creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
    Willingness and flexibility to travel
