Job Title: Polytechnic Librarian


Location: Ogun

Job Descriptions

• The Polytechnic librarian is a Principal Officer and Head of the
  Polytechnic Library responsible to the Rector for the administration of
  the Library and coordination of the Library services in the
  Institution.

Tenure of Appointment

• The appointment will be for five (5) years in the first instance
  and may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance, for another
  period of five(5) years and no more.

Qualification and Experience

• The candidates should possess a good Honours Degree from
  recognized Institution of higher learning plus Master’s Degree in
  Library Studies or Postgraduate Diploma in Librarianship with Fifteen
  (15) years cognate experience or Doctorate Degree in Library Studies
  with Twelve (12) years cognate experience and must have been a Chief
  Librarian in a Polytechnic or comparable Tertiary Institution for at
  least five (5)years.
• The preferred candidate should be proficient in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) packages.

Conditions of Service

• The conditions of service for the post are the same as obtained
  in all Federal Polytechnics in the Country. In addition, the appointee
  shall enjoy any other benefits attached to the position of a Principal
  Officer of the Polytechnic.
• Salary: CONPCASS 09 (N4,866,343 N5,407,503) per annum
