Job description
Assist with maintenance and repair of all mechanical equipment in the Plant area to which assigned.
Assist with maintenance records, technical reports and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
Participate in the planning and implementation of routine, preventive and planned maintenance programs.
Participate in a variety of maintenance, overhaul and repair of mechanical equipment in assigned area.
Understanding and applying Safe Practices in an offshore environment.
Participate in the inspection and testing of completed work.
Assist with carrying out a variety of regular routine, major and auxiliary machine vibration monitoring checks and analysis.
Assist with ensuring that company regulations relating to safety and work permits are observed.
Perform other similar or related duties as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
Must have very good inter-personal and communication skills.
Computer literate in Microsoft suite.
Ability to read P&IDs and schematics will be an added advantage.
Successful candidate will be required to undergo a twelve month intensive vocational training and additional twelve months on-the-job training.
National Diploma (OND) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering. 3-5 years post NYSC relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
