Job Title: Sales Manager

Job Descriptions

  • An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an ambitious dairy
    business , our client is looking for a result driven Sales Manager.
    Local sales of cheese, butter, cream and milk are an important element
    of this diverse business that is now seeking a self motivated and
    results orientated FMCG sales person to achieve the company’s ambitious
    growth plans.
  • The successful candidate will have a clear customer focus, a
    strong understanding of the needs of the retail sector with the aim of
    maximizing profitability together with successfully managing a small
    sales and customer service team.

Requirements
The ideal candidate profile will have:

  • Able to act on and use own initiative.
  • Experience of the chilled food or the dairy market is not essential but would be advantageous.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and driven by achieving sales and profit targets
  • Bilingual French and English
  • Preferably educated to degree level
  • Minimum 5 years’ successful experience in a relevant sales role
  • Strong analysis and sales reporting skills
  • High level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to effectively build relationships
  • Able to identify and progress new business opportunities

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Personal Sales Activity
  • Representing the business at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Negotiating price changes, promotional calendars and activities to maximize sales of our products
  • Selling the products and pro-actively maximizing profitability through price management.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers
  • Identifying and visiting potential customers for new business.
  • Negotiating the terms of agreements and closing sales.

Desired Skills and Experience
The Successful Applicant:

  • As an accomplished FMCG sales person, ideally you will have
    knowledge and experience in FMCG sales in any of West African countries.
  • Candidates based in west African country: Nigeria, Ivory coast or Senegal will be considered for this role.
