Job description
This position requires a minimum 3 years (post NYSC) of system administration of a corporate IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Design, plan, and maintain an IT Infrastructure.
Manage, and resolve hardware and software technical issues on the Network, Server, Desktop/Laptop and other computing equipment.
Manage aVMware ESX virtualization infrastructure, backup/restore applications, Antivirus, VOIP, TCP/IP,Storage Area Network (SAN), MS-SQL Server.
Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, User Access and Email Administration
Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics and evaluations to determine solutions and alternatives to enterprise applications.
Prioritize projects, issues and tasks that frequently change and escalate accordingly.
Maintain the highest uptime possible on the infrastructure.
Provide local and remote support to users across different locations.
Provide after-hour support and weekend support when required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with a minimum 2:1 grade.
Minimum 3 years (post NYSC) relevant experience with industry certifications an advantage.
Deep knowledge of Networks, Servers and Enterprise applications.
Strong engineering and administration skills, can handle projects end-to-end.
Linux/Unix management a strong plus
Excellent written and oral communications skills are essential.
Preferred certifications (one or more):
MCSA/MCSE/MCDBA
CCNA
VMware Certified Professional
Other equivalent or relevant industry certifications
