Job Title: Area Sales Manager 


Location: North-Central ( Abuja )

Job Purpose:

Our client is in need of an area sales manager to influence present and future company products in view of determining and evaluating current/future market trends.

Responsibilities:    

Attain and ensure management projected market share for Dogan’s Sugar in assigned territorial markets.

Monitor attached sales representative re-distribution sales activities via distributors purchased stock. Manage and maintain assigned territorial sales representatives/merchandisers via monitoring of their daily sales activities, execution of duties, counseling, motivating and appraising.
Influence present and future company products in view of determining and evaluating current/future market trends.
Conduct and Maintain research data base by identifying/assembling useful marketing information towards Dogan’s Sugar improved and consistent market sales/share.
Provide marketing information/marketing activities guidelines to the territorial sales team (sales reps/merchandisers), such as to enhance sales performance within the territory.
Make a monthly sales performance report by analyzing marketing activities and variances, and recommending corrective actions.
Develop and maintain concrete rapport with Key distributors and sub distributors in assigned territorial markets such as to ensure optimal consistent performance from the customers. Ensure vivid display of Dogan’s Sugar in all assigned territorial markets and distributors.
Review monthly territorial sales performance and develop quarterly marketing plans/budget for Dogan’s Sugar as a contribution to the corporate regional planning/budgeting.
Participate in all marketing activities outlined or scheduled for assigned territories.
Report directly to the Regional Sales Manager and also responsible to the HSM/DIRECTOR OF
COMMERCE.

Required Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business and Management, Psychology.
At least 5-7 years of experience.
Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
Ability to motivate and lead a team.
Initiative and enthusiasm.
Good planning skills.
