Job Title: CAPTAIN

We are currently representing a leading client within the Nigerian Marine sector for urgent search for a CAPTAIN

Role Responsibilities

The Master has the overall authority and responsibility for the operations of the vessel with due regard for the safety and the protection of its crew and the environment.

The Master maintains pro-actively all communication lines with both client and base / office management.

OPERATIONAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall management, planning, organization and control of all vessel activities;
Operational excellence and display of Seamanship;
Implement / maintain the Company’s policies
Ensure the vessel complies with Flag State, Classification Society and Local Rules and Regulations at all times;
Safe navigation of the vessel whilst in transit, on location and berthing and un-berthing in port;
Maintain the Ship Security Plan and ensure compliance with the ISPS Code.

Qualifications / Experience
Fully licensed Master of Vessel Unlimited in accordance with STCW 95;
DP Certified, where applicable;
Valid Medical Certificate;
Training and up to date certification in accordance with STCW 95 and Flag State Regulations;
Genuine, proven and documented Offshore Seamanship.

Job Title: ROV SUPERVISOR

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

We are currently representing a leading client within the Nigerian Marine sector for urgent search for a ROV SUPERVISOR

Role Responsibilities

The ROV Supervisor has the primary responsibility for the Health, Safety and welfare of the offshore personnel, implementation and monitoring of the Subsea 7 safety management system, offshore ROV system resource management and management of work execution.

Please note these are NOT trainee/associate roles and therefore applicants without necessary industry work experience and flying time will not be considered

OPERATIONAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Day to day supervision of ROV resources operating on work site.
maintaining communications with the Client’s Offshore Representative, vessel/Installation management and onshore management.
Conducting all ROV project briefings with the Client’s Representative, vessel/installation Master/OIM, Dive Superintendent, ROV personnel
Ensuring that all equipment and stores used by the operations team are in a condition satisfactory in performance, maintenance and calibration necessary to carry out the operation.
He has the right to terminate the operation if he considers that a malfunction of any part of the ROV system would prejudice the safety and/or satisfactory completion of the operation.
Ensuring that the daily reporting to onshore management is undertaken.
Collating the necessary information attaining to the project and obtaining approval by customer’s representative where required.

Qualifications / Experience
Preferably 7 years offshore experience in a relevant environment, 4 of which should be in the position of ROV Submersible/Senior Submersible Technician
Technical Background with Current Certificates

Job Title: CHIEF ENGINEER

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Salary: Negotiable

We are currently representing a leading client within the Nigerian Marine sector for urgent search for a CHIEF ENGINEER

The Chief Engineer is responsible for maintenance, operation, and repair of all vessel electrical and mechanical systems onboard ships. The Chief Engineer works in conjunction with the Assistant Engineer when applicable. The Chief Engineer reports to the Master of the vessel and will assist the Master in communicating and enforcing all company policies and procedures.

Maintenance
Maintains the ship in a state of readiness at all times.
Maintains potable water and auto chlorination system.
Maintains black water/gray water/waste tanks, treatment, and testing program.
Monitors and ensures completion of all deficiencies noted in Cabin Maintenance Notebook.
Oversees all bunkering operations and ensures safety and environmental compliance.
Actively participates in shipyard repair and maintenance periods.

Supervisory
Directly supervises the Assistant Engineer (where applicable).
Monitors and counsels work performance throughout the year, and conducts annual written performance evaluations.
Trains all new and relief Chief Engineers and Assistant Engineers.

Qualifications
Maritime Engineering School Graduate in good standing and/or a Designated Duty License,or equivalent, preferred.
5 years’ experience as Engineer on 100‐ton vessels preferred.
Strong knowledge of diesel propulsion and electricity generating systems preferred.
Also should have knowledge of support systems such as fuel centrifuges, air compressors, pumps, hydraulics, water makers, hotel systems, plumbing, refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning.

Job Title: CHIEF OFFICER

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Salary: Negotiable

We are currently representing a leading client within the Nigerian Marine sector for urgent search for a CHIEF OFFICER

Duties & Responsibilities

The Chief Mate Assists The Master In All Vessel Command And Has Whatever Authority The Master Delegates Upon Him / Her
Assist the Master and learn all aspects of ships command with a view to eventual promotion.
Act as the ship’s Safety Officer.
Allocate and ensure that all duties appertaining to deck department are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsible for ensuring that all mooring, anchor handling and towing equipment are regularly maintained and in operational order.
Responsible for loading, stowing and discharging of all deck cargoes and cleaning of bulk tanks; In charge of the deck ratings and their duties.
Assist physically on deck during special operations such as anchor handling and towing.
Responsible for the training of deck cadets and deck crew.
Is in charge of the vessel’s chart corrections. Can delegate the task to a junior Officer but remains nevertheless responsible of the corrections.
Supervise mooring and unmooring of vessel in port and at offshore locations.

Experience

The Chief Officer should have at least 5 years oil field experience as Chief Mate, Master

Education

The Chief Mate shall at all times during the term of the Contract be in possession of a valid License and STCW endorsement as set out in Basic Marine Vessel Specifications and Requirements for this type and size of vessel.

Mandatory Requirements
Unlimited Chief Mate License
DP Unlimited certificate
With more than four years oil field experience in OIMR-WROV, of which two years as Chief Mate.
