Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly driven individual in a new role as DYNAMIC “General Manager”. This role is for managers who wants to take their career to the next level! In this role, you will be responsible for building, leading and inspiring a Travelfix.CO team of around 60 employees to achieve greater things.

You will be responsible for implementing internal business initiatives, improving process efficiencies in addition to developing and sustaining strong relationships in the travel industry. The core focus of this position is driving key activities of Travelfix.CO overall operations to support the company’s revenue goals and strategic objectives. You will be responsible for daily management of the team by managing broad regional responsibilities.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the role will have interaction with a range of Senior stakeholders and will be based in Travelfix.CO Head Office based in Abuja.

Responsibilities

Overseeing overall operations at Travelfix.CO, providing clear direction and guidelines of operation; and setting positive example for attitude, professionalism and work ethic.
Enhance the relationship with third party suppliers, building and maintaining relationships with key clientele, developing and implementing the sales and marketing plan
Creating an environment of accountability, controlling costs, managing budgets and developing the team.
Managing, motivating and training key team members.
Building relationships with key stakeholders and able to communicate at senior level.
Maintain strong communication with Travelfix.CO branch offices, teams, vendors and suppliers.
The ability to recruit staff and monitor performance. Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership and both written and verbal communication skills.
Ensure compliance with Travelfix.CO operating standards and procedures.
Experience in client relationship management, setting standards appropriate to affiliates, agents, clients and scope of work.
Implements and monitors KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for team.
Coordinates and leads business reviews with company representatives for each reporting operation
Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, MBA (or equivalent advanced degree) required. Airline, OTA, GDS experience strongly preferred
Proven experience in developing business strategies and business development opportunities and delivering business results.
7-10 years’ experience in the travel industry, OTA, Airline or travel technology suppliers, of which at least 3 years as a General Manager.
Should have current contacts across all airlines and travel suppliers.
Directly managed a team of more than 50 employees.
Proven sales and marketing abilities
Customer service skills; and organizational and planning skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
