Summary
Oversee the preparation of reports the organization’s financial position and assist in making sound financial decisions
Responsibilities
Work to define and implement cost management frameworks and controls to manage organization’s cost profile
Co-ordinate the timely preparation of financial statements (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually)
Ensure financial reports reflect the financial position and comply with statutory and regulatory requirements
Co-ordinate the timely prepatation of staturoty returns to applicable statutory bodies
Recommend strategies for investing
Ensure real time monitoring and reporting of budget/actual variance to facilitate speedy decision making
Desired Qualities
A first degree in Accounting or Finance
A professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Strong leadership and people management skills
Good problem analysis and solving skills
Ability to use office productivity tools
Working knowledge of Peachtree
Must have the ability to work under pressure, be innovative and creative and pay very close attention to detail
