Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should be persons of academic eminence possessing the qualifications and experience stated below:

• Not below the rank of Reader of at least five (5) years standing in a College of Education system with at least seventeen (17) years teaching experience.
• Should possess at least a Doctorate Degree (PhD) in a field the College
• Should possess a professional qualification in Education
• Should be Computer literate
• Show evidence of academic leadership and sound scholarship by way of acclaimed research

Roles and Responsibilities

• The Provost as Chief Academic Officer and Chief Executive of the College shall be responsible to Council for the day-to-day management of the college.
• Provide academic and professional leadership In the execution of policy guidelines laid down by Council
• Maintain discipline as well as cater for the welfare and interest of the staff arid students of the College and perform such other functions as may be conferred upon him by tile Edict establishing the College or the Council.

Salary and Conditions Of Services

• Provost shall on a consolidated salary
• The Provost shall be appointed for a term of five (5) years and no more
• Other conditions are as applicable to Provosts of Colleges of Education in Nigeria
