He or she will serve as the primary resource for supporting the site/division in its BES NG Enterprise transformation and conduct programs to accomplish change initiatives and integrate them into the culture. Required Skills
  • Models, fosters and drives the BES NG Enterprise transformation within the site. In alignment with strategic growth initiatives executes on continuous improvement programs to support the local business goals & objectives. Obtains all necessary assistance to assure effective implementation.
  • In collaboration with the local champion supports the BES transformation helping to execute to plan and continually communicate how the local goals align with the business unit strategy.
  • Effectively influences and is able to handle the “gray” and to mobilize various levels of the organization to move forward strategic and tactical change and keep on-going pulse on progress through virtual environment, technology and tools.
  • Educates employees on BES NG tools and techniques helping to form a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Facilitates BES training programs, Kaizen events and other BES NG Enterprise initiatives. Assesses, coaches and provides constructive feedback to teams in order to strengthen the BES competency within the local sites.
  • Coordinates and synchronizes site level BES NG Enterprise goals and initiatives with those of the strategic business unit overall objectives. Provides documentation of results and benefits achieved.                                                    
  • Shares best practices with local sites and fellow BES Practitioners in the organization. Documents lessons learned and incorporate it into local sites as appropriate. Leverages relationships to seek other Barnes lessons learned from colleagues and Strategic Business Unit BES Leaders to increase efficiencies.
  • Expected travel <20%.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of manufacturing engineering experience with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory role preferred. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience driving continuous improvement projects preferred.
  • Experience as a team member implementing change in a manufacturing or molding solutions environment preferred.
  • Impeccable integrity; emotional intelligence, strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Acknowledges the changing business environment and is comfortable to change. An ability to persuade others through communication and fact based information.
  • A basic understanding of key business drivers and goals.
  • Emotionally intelligent change agent able to facilitate and manages change effectively and acts with a sense of urgency to drive results.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented self-starter with the desire and potential for future growth opportunities.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Lean and/or Six Sigma training/certification preferred. MS or MBA strongly preferred.
