Description of the mission
Specialized financial institution present on five continents and in communities overseas, the French Development Agency (AFD) supports large-scale economic projects in the fields of urban development and infrastructure, rural development, the industry, financial systems as well as in education and health. A post of International Voluntary (VI) is filled from August 2016 in the AFD agency Abuja (NIGERIA). Under the authority of responsible for Agriculture Mission, the incumbent’s main task will monitor the AFD project portfolio to ECOWAS, but will also provide support on rural development projects at national level. the / voluntary will main mission: – participate animation, development and monitoring of operational activities; – Contribute intellectual output of the agency and participate in the animation sector dialogue; – Ensure all external contacts in the framework of its activities; – Animation of the communication and dissemination of intellectual production of SFM in Nigeria and regionally the Abuja assignment is scheduled for mid-August 2016.
Profile
Graduate (e) of an engineering school or agronomist or a business school, you justify a very good understanding of issues related to development assistance. You have experience or training in project management (project cycle, monitoring / evaluation, procurement) you have knowledge in the field of rural development and food security. Additional training and / or experience in banking finance and / or business is required. You justify a successful professional experience of three years as part of development aid or relationships North / South. Knowledge of AFD procedures and / or the European Union would be a real asset. with (e) of good interpersonal skills and a strong ability to adapt a different cultural and sociological context , you demonstrate initiative, autonomy and rigor in your work. you have excellent writing skills, analysis and synthesis. you are provided (e) high reliability and very good . Organizational and reporting (ability to work with deadlines) English Fluency in oral and written English is essential for this position.
