Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) was established on the 19th July 2010, when the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria signed the AMCON Act into Law. AMCON was created to be a key stabilizing and re-vitalizing tool established to revive the financial system by efficiently resolving the non-performing loan assets of the banks in the Nigerian economy. 

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Asset Management Partner (AMP)

Location: Nigeria

Overview
The Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), is interested in engaging the services of companies, firms and/or consortiums to serve as Asset Management Partners (AMPs). The loan resolution, recovery and management process for certain category of Eligible Bank Assets (EBAs), are be outsourced to these AMPs.

Information for Asset Management Partners, AMPs
We are by this advert requesting applications from reputable and qualified entities with the requisite experience to address the following areas:

  • Tracing, identification and location of obligors with the intent to resolve their outstanding indebtedness.
  • Tracing, identification and location of assets of obligors (both pledged and unpledged) to enhance the EBA value, and achieve set recovery objectives.
  • Negotiation of settlement and restructuring terms with identified obligors in line with approved guidelines.
  • Pursuing and enforcing debt recovery and collection activities geared towards optimization of assigned portfolio to achieve set targets.
  • Initiation of legal actions to further the loan recovery mandates in line with approved guidelines.

All applicants are required to submit the under listed documents as part of the criteria for pre-qualification: 
MANDATORY (without which the firm will be disqualified) 

  1. A Letter of Application. 
  2. Evidence of incorporation or registration of the entity with the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC or proof of Business Registration of the Consortium. 
  3. Each applicant is also required to submit a company profile detailing the following, as a basis for selection:
  • The entity’s verifiable physical address
  • Demonstrable experience in similar transactions
  • Recommended transaction approach
  • Experience of key team members
  • Potential conflicts of interest
  • Corporate profile of the firm including ownership structure, CV of key personnel supported by Professional licenses, registered address, functional contact email address, GSM phone number(s), facsimile number(s).
  • Audited accounts in the last three (3) years duly stamped by licensed Auditors (where applicable).
  • Verifiable reference of related services rendered in the last three (3) years (attach letters of engagement).

Evidence of tax payment for the last three (3) years as at when due. 


4. Evidence of employees Retirement Savings Accounts (RSA) with a Pension Fund Administrator, and relevant remittances (for both the employer and its employees), to the appropriate Custodian. 

5. All AMPs are expected to demonstrate an in-house capacity and competence based on the following criteria:

  1. Banking: Credit and Remedial Asset Management experience
  2. A Qualified Legal Practitioner
  3. A Certified Valuer
  4. Requisite Accounting experience, particularly in audit and reconciliation of bank statements
  5. All four categories above (1-4), must have minimum of seven years post NYSC experience, in addition to registration with their professional bodies, especially for (2-4above)
  6. Any firm/company having all four competencies (1-4 above), can also apply, based on the above criteria
