Through a combination of projects targeted at research and learning, re:learn is committed to bridging the education gap by enhancing learning experience in schools.

At re:learn we seek to identify innovative ways of bridging the infrastructure deficit in the Nigerian education sector. Whether by leading research projects, providing support to Edtech startups or finding ways to engage and educate young people through in and out of school programs, re:learn aims to accelerate the process of improved access to and quality of education.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Community Manager

Location: Nigeria

Job Descriptions

  • We are seeking a Community Manager – a people-centred, outgoing individual to manage and grow the community of volunteers, teachers and Edtech supporters who are passionate about improving the experience of learning in and out of the classroom.
  • As Community Manager you understand that our community of practitioners is at the heart of re:learn and are able to attract and maintain an active, vibrant community, passionate about education and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Identify innovative ways to grow and keep the re:learn community of practitioners actively engaged (including volunteers, teachers and edtech supporters)
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date volunteer guide to include best practices, policies and procedures for volunteering
  • Manage recruiting, training and evaluation of volunteers
  • Work closely with Program Manager to understand requirements and new opportunities for volunteering
  • Build relationships with edtech stakeholders and regulators towards policy adoption especially government bodies
  • Able to communicate effectively and work with a wide range of individuals and organisations including kids, parents, corporate partners and government bodies.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years working experience
  • Previous recruitment experience, volunteer management or community membership management role is a huge plus
  • Knowledge of the education and technology ecosystem in Nigeria, and willingness to learn
  • A people focused person, able to work effectively with different kinds of people
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Be willing and able to travel to other cities when required
  • Self-motivated, thrive working in fast-paced environments, with a small team and lots of responsibility.

Job Title: Centre Manager

Location: Abuja

  • We are seeking a Centre Manager who will manage the daily operations at the re:learn centre. As Centre Manager you’re the face of the re:learn centre and will be in responsible for making it a welcoming environment for our community.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the re:learn centre
  • Keep up-to-date records of centre activities
  • Proactively connect members of the community to drive increased synergy and collaboration
  • Be able to communicate with different stakeholders and identify opportunities for partnership
  • Maintain a calendar of events to ensure a vibrant range of activities all year round, in conjunction with Program Manager
  • Liaise with stakeholders on new initiatives to enhance the growth of the Edtech ecosystem in Nigeria
  • Work with the executive management team and board to meet the strategic objectives of the organization.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years working experience, previous experience in a relationship management or community/membership management role is a huge plus
  • Lively, vibrant personality, and enjoys connecting with people of different ages and backgrounds – including kids, parents, corporate and government organisations and partners.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to spot new opportunities for partnerships
  • Independent, creative self-starter who can execute while keeping relevant parties within and outside the organisation in the loop
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Be connected and stay up-to-date with current trends especially in the relevant sectors and ability to spot new opportunities for partnership
  • Self-motivated, thrive working in a fast-paced environment, with a small team and lots of responsibility.
  • Must be resident in Abuja.

Job Title: Programme Manager

Location: Nigeria

  • We are seeking a Programme Manager who will oversee the different programs and initiatives offered by re:learn. As Programme Manager you’ll manage the calendar of events at re:learn to ensure a vibrant range of activities all year round.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the different programmes and initiatives offered by re:learn (Geeks Club, Summer of Code, Makers Club, Train-the trainer workshops etc)
  • Identify ways to expand existing programmes and able to work with a team to implement those
  • Spot opportunities to conceptualise and design new programmes and events
  • Develop a calendar of events to ensure a vibrant range of activities all year round
  • Work closely with other members of the team to execute programmes including Centre Manager and others
  • Able to document and communicate insights (written and verbal) to relevant stakeholders and management
  • Work with the executive management team and board to meet the strategic objectives of the organization.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years working experience, previous experience managing education programmes/events is a plus
  • Independent, creative self-starter who can run with things while keeping everyone inside and outside the company in the loop
  • Ability to learn fast and keep up to date with trends in the technology and education sector
  • Should have excellent communication and writing skills
  • Self-motivated, thrive working with a small team given lots of responsibility.
