Job Title: Chief Operating Officer

Job Summary
 

  • This individual will be responsible for managing internal operations of the Organisation.
  • This individual will be primarily responsible for implementing core activities and overseeing all administrative and financial task associated with ensuring effective management of memberships and programmes.

Job Description

  • Report to and work closely with the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer
  • Provide financial oversight of business operations with a focus on delivering on financial goals and key business metrics;
  • Manage the smooth functioning of the office support systems including negotiations with suppliers, vendors and other service providers in the most cost effective manner;
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial, human resources and administrative policies and procedures;
  • Oversee the day-today operations of the Organisation
  • Prepare regular reports on the performance of the entity
  • Ensure that company complies with all tax and legal obligations.
  • Overseeing any other tasks that may emerge as a result of the growth of the Organisation.

Qualifications Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration or any other related field.
  • A Master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Administration, Developmental Studies, or MBA will be an added advantage
  • Over 5 years of experience of managerial experience in international business or development
  • Evidence of strong fundraising and funds management skills
  • Evidence of string networks in the Nigerian private, public and nonprofit sector
  • Demonstrable knowledge and interest in literature and literacy
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Proven entrepreneurial ability and capacity to work with significant autonomy
  • A high level of integrity and preparedness to keep stakeholders informed

Job Title: Accountant 
Location:
 Lagos
Job Summary 

  • The individual hired for this position will have financial oversight of the Organisation’s operations

Job Description

  • Managing the inflow and outflow of funds
  • Compile and analyse financial information for the Organisation
  • Prepare financial statements and bank reconciliation analysis (monthly, quarterly and annually) of the Organisation’s financial transaction
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted accounting policies and procedures
  • Prepare periodic financial reports for Management and Governing Council when required
  • Prepare product/programme cost accounting, product/programme price development and inventory management and control
  • Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
  • Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process
  • Manage, monitor and support taxation issues
  • Prepare the Organisation’s yearly budget, cash flow and funding analysis
  • Work with the Management team to improve forecasting, budgeting, planning and financial analyses processes
  • Develop and maintain financial data bases
  • Analyse and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitment and future revenue
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenue and expenses

Qualification Required

  • Accounting degree or equivalent
  • A professional certificate such as ICAN and ACCA is preferable
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles
  • Knowledge of economic principles
  • Knowledge of auditing practices and principle
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
  • Knowledge and experience of related computer related applications
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice.

  • This individual will be responsible for managing and driving the Organisation’s operations.
  • S/he will primarily be responsible for developing and implementing the organisation’s strategy for growth arid expansion.

Job Description

  • Report to and work closely with the Vice President and the Governing Council.
  • Develop and define the Organisation’s operational strategy
  • Develop and define the Organisation’s marketing strategy
  • Develop and build the Organisation’s funding base
  • Create and manage the entity’s brand, actively promoting the products and services and impact of the entity through different media
  • Establish and build affiliation and partnerships for growth and expansion
  • Provide leadership arid management oversight for the Organisation’s employees
  • Plan arid ensure execution of all pending and ongoing projects
  • Prepare regular reports on the performance of the entity for the Council as required
  • Ensure that company complies with all tax and legal obligations.
  • Overseeing any other tasks that may emerge as a result of the growth of the Organisation.

Qualification Required

  • A Bachelors degree in Law or any other related field.
  • A Masters degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Administration, Developmental Studies, or MBA will be an added advantage
  • A minimum of 8 years managerial experience in management consulting and training, international business, or social development
  • Experience in programme planning, training development and management, and delivery and evaluation
  • Evidence of string networks in the Nigerian private, public and nonprofit sector
  • Proven entrepreneurial ability and capacity to work with significant autonomy
  • A high level of integrity and preparedness to keep stakeholders informed.
