A reputable company located in Lagos, Nigeria, is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of:

Job Title: Logistics Manager

Location: Lagos

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with suppliers on order placements, delivery and follow up.
  • Liaise with customers – internal and external on changes to delivery schedule.
  • Liaise with freight forwarder to organize air or sea freight.
  • Prepare documentation for Form M and Follow up Letter of credit LC.
  • Liaise with custom clearance agents for swift effective landing and clearing.
  • Control overseas payments to suppliers.
  • Control local and foreign exchange bank accounts.
Academic Qualification

  • B.Sc in Logistics Management.
  • B.Sc. in Purchasing and Supply.
  • HND in Purchasing and Supply.
  • M.Sc in Logistics Management.
  • M.Sc in Purchasing and Supply.
  • Plus minimum of 3 years cognate experience.
  • Special knowledge of logistics procurements and transportation is added advantage.

Skills

  • Work logically and systematically.
  • Good time management.
  • AbilIty to work with minimum supervision under pressure.
  • High IT literacy and ability to handle electronic data. AbilIty to manage challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skill and good communication skills,
  • High analytical skill and ability to negotiate.
  • AbilIty to follow local and international economic trend.
  • Good understandIng of custom tariff and ports operations.

Post Graduation Experience

  • Detail orientated.
  • Banking and Overseas trade experience is necessity.
  • Proven ability to manage complex relationships.
  • Proven ability to multi task and manage operations under general guidance.
