Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic Katsina – Following the expiration of the tenure of the Rector applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the below vacant post:

Job Title: Rector

Location: Katsina

Duties of the Rector

• The Rector is the Chief Academic and Administrative Officer of the Polytechnic.
• He is respoovble to the Polytechnic Governing Council for ensuring the fulfilment of the objectives of the Polytechnic and for maintaining and promoting efficiency and good discipline.

Qualification and Experience

• Candidates must possess at least a Masters Degree in Engineering, Science and Technology, Technical Education or Management and Social Sciences not below the rank of Chief Lecturer or its equivalent from a recognized Tertiary Institution plus at least Eighteen (18) years cognate Teaching and Administrative Experience.
• Candidates should have very good overall performance with a record of Academic and Administrative competence as well as concrete evidence of contribution to the advancement of knowledge and service to humanity.
• Possession of PhD, membership of professional bodies and computer literacy will be an added advantage.

Terms of Apointment

• Successful candidates shall be appointed for a term of four (4) years in the first INSTANCE and may be eligible for re-appointment for a second term of four (4) years.
• The salary for the position is consolidated and the appointee shall be paid other benefits as may be approved from time to time by the Katsina State Government.
