NMTL is further engaged in the manufacture and production of industrial spare parts and integrity stud bolt and nuts, flanges for oil an gas, energy and power, and iron including steel industries; manpower training in various engineering and technological fields; provision of after-sales and consultancy services; thus influencing the growth of downstream industries associated with the machine tools. The Company also, manufactures and assembles agricultural tractors and implements under its proprietary BULL trademark.


As part of its expansion, the company is seeking to engage the services of resourceful and competent personnel for the position below:

Job Title: Cost Engineer

Location: Nigeria


Key Responsibilities

  • Read technical drawings or documents in order to prepare cost estimates for all products, RFP and tenders.
  • Carry. out detail analyses of production cost (raw material, machine hour, man hour) and monitor same to ensure all costs or expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
  • Check all finished products or work in progress to determine actual production cost and report any detected variance to the management for appropriate decision.
  • Accurate prediction of relevant costs and time line for delivery of products to clients/customers.
  • Carry out regular market survey to determine the local and international materials cost and advise management appropriately e.t.c

Academic/Professional Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Accounting.
  • MBA and membership of relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 7 years cognate experience in costing or estimation processes in an Engineering industry.

Technical Skills and Personal Qualities:

  • Ability to read Engineering drawings or designs with sound experience in shop floor activities.
  • Sound production planning skills with In-depth knowledge on time estimation for engineering related products or projects.
  • In-depth knowledge on product costing methodology in an engineering industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and demanding deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to consult, negotiate and influence a wide range of team members.
  • Good computer skill with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with bias to MS Project, PowerPoint, Microsoft Dynamic NAV and other engineering software programs e t c

Job Title: Procurement Manager

Location: Nigeria


Key Responsibilities

  • Determine short and long term materials needs of the organization.
  • Develop and Implement cost control strategies on all procurement in order to optimize value for money.
  • Forecast local and international materials price trends and advise management for proactive action on procurement and production processes.
  • Negotiate with manufacturers or suppliers and conduct due diligence on all procurement to eliminate or militate against all potential risks.
  • Conduct market research to ensure all procurement meet the specification given in terms of quality, quantity and price (both locally and internationally)
  • Manage all importation processes initiating Form “M” through banks shipment documentations avoid demurrage and supervision of clearing to ensure materials get to the factory or clients at the right time.
  • Ensure all the suppliers and in-house user departments comply with company’s procurement procedures and policies.
  • Keep up to date with knowledge of importation and exportation policies/guidelines of Government and advise management appropriately.
  • Ensure all procurement expenses are within approved budget and take every opportunity to explore and secure economies of scale in all procurement.
  • Source and keep a detailed database of suppliers to ensure the company has the right and credible organizations/individuals to meet all procurement. e.t.c

Academic/Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum of HND/BSC in Social Science or related field.
  • MBA and membership of relevant professional bodies such as CIPS e.t.c will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience in procurement or supply chain of FCMG or a structured manufacturing industry.

Technical Skills and Personal Qualities:

  • In-depth understanding of relevant import and export procedures/guidelines.
  • Excellent negotiation and networking skills.
  • Ability to respond to RFP and tender as well as make presentation to clients.
  • Flexibility to work long and unpredictable hours to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and demanding deadlines.

Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Location: Nigeria


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the corporate objectives of the company.
  • Determine on regular basis manpower needs of the organization and ensure effective sourcing technique is in place to attract and retain the best hands.
  • Develop and communicate human resource policies and programmes to all levels of staff.
  • Carry out appropriate inductions/orientations for new staff and ensure they understand the company’s vision, goals/objectives with strict adherent to them.
  • Periodically review and update employee’s job descriptions to reflect changes in the organization structure and develop KPI for all positions.
  • Carry out regular training and developmental programmes within the group to address all skills gaps.
  • Carry out the implementation of organization’s performance management system and ensure its objectives are equitable and merit driven for all levels of staff.
  • Ensure harmonious industrial working relationship amongst the workforce.
  • Benchmark the best practices and ensure the company’s compensation package is fair, equitable and progressive,
  • Manage staff database on Microsoft Dynamic NAV and ensure all relevant information are well documented for management decision making e.t.c

Academic/Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum of HND/B.Sc in social science or related discipline.
  • MBA and membership of professional bodies such as CIPM, CIPD or any other relevant professional association will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience in a similar role in a structured Engineering process environment.

Technical Skills and Personal Qualities:

  • In-depth knowledge of Nigeria labour laws and legislation’s.
  • Ability to provide broad HR general advise including policies development and implementation across all HR functions.
  • Ability to think strategically to resolve various HR Issues.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills
  • Computer savvy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Microsoft Dynamic NAV.
  • Ability to use personal initiative, prioritize work, handle pressure and take day-to- day decisions for effective running of HR functions for the group e.t.c

Job Title: Head of Training and Outsourcing

Location: Nigeria


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth technical and management training curriculum for the training school and technical staff within the group.
  • Oversee the management of Technical Apprenticeship Scheme to meet the short and longer term needs of the group.
  • Process the accreditation of our technical training school with National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and other statutory agencies.
  • Develop and market training courses for corporate companies or government agencies requiring their technical staff to be trained.
  • Drive the technical training budget and ensure all expenditures are kept within the limit.
  • Carry out in-house technical training needs, design and facilitates courses to improve efficiency in all technical units within the group.
  • Evaluate training programmes and ensure transfers of knowledge and skill to the trainees during and after the training e.t.c

Academic/Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum of HND/BSC in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • MBA and membership of relevant professional bodies such as COREN, NITAD e.t.c will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years cognate experience in machine/implement & general technical training.

Technical Skills and Personal Qualities:

  • Relevant experience in development and delivery of technical training programmes within integrated engineering process environment.
  • Ability to respond to Request for Proposal (RFP) and tenders as well as make presentations.
  • Ability to transfer information or concepts into a usable format.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and demanding deadlines.
  • Ability to manage and drive a strategic business unit.
  • Self motivation with strong business and marketing skills.
  • Good personality and creative thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
