Bamburi Beach Resort and Spa is a four star owned Kenyan property,operating a variety of international and local branded hotels in Africa.We are set to open on Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria in October and seek to recruit into the following positions:

JOB TITLE:  PURCHASING MANAGER
Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies Management or its equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years managerial experience, preferably in service/hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with import and export procurement guidelines and procedures.



JOB TITLE:  FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Commerce (Accounting Option)
  • Must have a minimum of seven years experience in a Commercial environment, preferably an international hotel setup.
  • Conversant with revenue cycles and vast experience with Micros Fidelio.
  • Able to perform general ledger transactions using SUN Accounting systems and proficient in Excel.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and Familiar with Tax Management.
  • Familiar with SOX guidelines.


JOB TITLE:  SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER
Responsibilities

  • Responsible for:Developing S&M strategy, generating new business, maximizing revenues, spearhead social media strategy.

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualification from a reputable and recognized institution
  • Over 5 years progressive experience in a 4 or 5 star environment
  • Experience in managing over 300 rooms



JOB TITLE:  FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
Responsibilities

  • Responsible for: All Front Office operations, guest relations, revenue management, optimization of all policies and procedures, and staff development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualification from a reputable and recognized institution
  • Over 5 years progressive experience in a 4 or 5 star environment
  • Experience in managing over 300 rooms




JOB TITLE:  EXECUTIVE HOUSE KEEPER
Responsibilities

  • Responsible for: All Housekeeping operations, rooms cleaning and maintenance schedules, stock taking, budgeting, adherence to Brand Standards and staff development.

  • Over 5 years progressive experience in a 4 or 5 star environment
  • Experience in managing over 300 rooms



JOB TITLE:  FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER
Responsibilities

  • Responsible for: Departmental Revenue generation and maximization, cost reduction, budgeting, menu engineering, quality guest service, and staff development

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree or Diploma in related field
  • At least 8 years’ experience in a 4 or 5 star environment in similar position with progressive experience
  • All round experience in bars ,banqueting and conferencing, Outside Catering Operations



JOB TITLE:  EXECUTIVE CHEF
Requirements

  • Should have a very strong background in multiple cuisine operations ie. Italian, African, Continental, Fusion food lines etc
  • Minimum experience in similar position of 8 years in a 250 plus room hotel and multiple restaurants and large facility environment
  • Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities;
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select ,customize, innovate , develop recipes and costing
  • Standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • Establish presentation technique and quality standards
  • Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance
  • Ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
  • Offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrate culinary techniques



JOB TITLE:  EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF
Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar position in a busy up market Hotel
  • Relevant certificates from recognized and reputable Institution
  • Excellent hygiene standards & good ability to lead & train your team
  • Dynamic, motivated & able to motivate others
  • Aged between 32 & 35 years old
  • Ability to work long & flexible hours
  • Very creative and a team leader
  • Current certificate of good conduct



JOB TITLE:  PASTRY CHEF
Requirements

  • The incumbent must possess the following
  • Relevant qualification certificates
  • At least 5 years experience in a busy up market 4 or 5 star hotel
  • Emphasis will be on practicality of performance in a range of pastry products
  • Must be knowledgeable in wedding Cakes and Specialty pastry
  • Ability to oversee and manage independently a staff of over 12 in His /Her section



JOB TITLE:  SPA & GYM MANAGER (M/F)
Profile:

  • We are looking for a professional manager/ beauty/ therapist who values integrity, honesty and high standards.
  • This professional is able to work with minimal supervision in the Spa department (Massage, pedicure, manicure and facials).
  • The incumbent should be easily adaptable to new situations and guests of all walks of life.
  • The interested person should be able to control situations with confidence and work well under pressure. The ability to deal with guest complaints and communicate effectively is a must have.
  • The incumbent should value team work and is flexible yet able to mark boundaries and has a drive to excel. Since the incumbent will be working in a sensitive area, a proven record of honesty and integrity are part of the selection procedure.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English
  • At least 5 years experience in a managing an international standard Spa & Gym
  • Diploma in Spa operations from a reputable Institute
  • Proven Experience in Hot stone massage and different techniques of massage , reflexology an added advantage.
  • Proven Experience in pedicures, manicures and waxing a must
  • Able and willing to work on a duty rota which includes evenings and weekends including public holidays.



JOB TITLE:  SPA /GYM THERAPIST M/F
Responsibilities:

  • Receive guests in a friendly and welcoming manner within the set standards
  • Communicate effectively with guest and finalise a check list before commencement of the treatment to avoid adverse effects of the treatment.
  • Provide beauty treatments in a professional manner and according to set standards.
  • Be observant to guests’ needs and react on them promptly and adequately
  • Be well groomed and presentable at all times while at the duty station.
  • Bill the guests according to the set out procedures and assure records are kept in accordance with procedures.
  • Maintain proper cleanliness of the Spa department
  • Solve minor guest complaints or problems independently
  • To achieve team efforts and results flexibility will be requested in performing other duties not in your contract to enhance optimum service levels



JOB TITLE:  RESERVATIONS MANAGER
Responsibilities and Requirements

  • The incumbent must be dynamic individual with in depth understanding of the Front Office function and Reservations in particular.
  • Special emphasis on Revenue management and dynamic pricing is a must. Manage the whole booking process ensuring that client’s needs are met.
  • Supervise staff members in the department and ensure the smooth running of the department.
  • Follow up on vouchers, check and sign all payments for services offered to guests.
  • The Reservations dept will be operating on 24/7 basis
  • Clear and precise liaison with Head office sales team for occupancy maximization
  • Relevant educational certificates
  • Emphasis will be on proven progressive experience in a 4 or 5 star reservations environment.
  • Qualified Female candidates are encouraged to apply and experience at the coast will be advantageous.
  • Be knowledgeable on a variety of IT reservation platforms



JOB TITLE:  CHIEF ENGINEER
Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Civil or Maintenance Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive years experience in general hotel maintenance procedures with at least two years managerial experience.
  • CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred.



JOB TITLE:  LAUNDRY MANAGER
Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Hotel Management or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive management experience in laundry preferred.



JOB TITLE:  RESTAURANT MANAGER
Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Hotel Management or equivalent.
  • At least five years experience in related field. Hotel restaurant management experience preferred.
  • Experience with supervision of employees required.
  • Must be conversant with Micros POS.
