Job Title: Certified Handy-Man
Location: Portharcourt, Rivers
Job Descriptions
- Handy-men perform a wide range of simple to complex jobs for individuals or groups at residential or commercial locations.
- As a handyman, you might work full or part-time as an independent contractor or employee.
- You are responsible for performing multiple repair and maintenance tasks throughout the day, which could include, but is not limited to: carpentry work, electrical, plumbing, painting, general facility repairs, etc.
The following is a list of handy-men service required. Note that this list is not exhaustiv:
- Carpentry
- Electrical wiring
- Plumbing
- Tiling
- Concrete work
- Metal work
- Painting
- Generator repair/maintenance
- Auto repair/maintenance
- Hairdressing
- Curtain hanging
- Interior decoration
- Partitioning
- Welding
- Window installation/repair
- Electronics installation
- Pest Control
- Home security systems
- Photography
- Gardening
- Garbage collector Etc.
Qualification and Experience
- Applicants should have at least 5 years working experience
Note: Evidence of past projects or jobs completed will be an advantage

- Ability to perform work safely

- Knowledge in many aspects of repair
- Maintenance work dependability
- Verbal communication
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions
- Knowledge of cleaning solutions and materials

Physical/Mental Demands
- Ability to reach and to lift materials weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance are required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move rapidly
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn, climb stairs and on trucks.
- Ability to perform repetitious arm and wrist movements.
- Mental alertness to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities.
- Ability to learn new tasks and procedures.
- Ability to move furniture and equipment.
