Job Title:  Primary School Teacher 

Responsibilities: 

• Teaching all areas of the primary curriculum
• Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class
• Prepare and plan work in accordance with schemes of work and national curriculum requirements; including subject expertise
• Discuss and report on student’s progress to parents
• Maintain good order and discipline, by modeling behavior and following the school’s behavior policies and procedures, that encourages a sense of responsibility and consideration for others
• Maintain excellent classroom management with due regard to health and safety policies
• Learning environment is stimulating and supportive of teaching and learning
• Ensure punctuality and establish a purposeful working atmosphere during all learning activities
• Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment
• Teaching a variety of subjects according to the curriculum
• Marking and assessment
• Monitoring the development of individual students
• Assessing skills and knowledge through tests and assignments
• Maintain accurate and complete records of individual students’ progress and development

Qualification and Experience: 

• Any B.Ed, NCE  or PGDE is a requirement
• Applicant must possess the ability to engage and motivate students at all levels.
• Classroom management must be strong, accompanied with a sound knowledge of the Curriculum
• Experience of using assessment data to set targets for children and to inform planning
• 3 years’ experience teaching at the Primary School level
• Demonstrable initiative, attention to detail and an enthusiasm for working in a school environment are important
