Job Details

  • Group Real Estate: identifying new premises, locations and buildings, leasing real estate, buying and selling property, construction and maintenance.

Job Purpose

  • To provide Project management support for branch expansion programme including the construction and refurbishment of banks buildings and to facilitate seamless handover of completed structures to the end user units.
  • To support the department’s processes such as procurement of consultants, contractors, vendors; monitoring, evaluating and reporting construction progress from inception to completion and handover of a building fit for purpose.
  • To direct preventative repairs and maintenance procedures and ensure buildings and equipments are well maintained and in optimal working condition.
  • To ensure that all operations are in accordance with established health, safety and environmental standards and regulations and that services purchased are of acceptable quality at the least possible cost.
  • To keep Senior Management abreast of significant problems from day to day operational activities and recommend and execute appropriate solutions.
  • To act as the Services manager and maintain operational running of all the equipments ensuring there are no risk to the bank’s assets.
  • To monitor and support the Project management aspect during the construction of bank buildings and ATM deployments and to facilitate the seamless handover of completed structures to the end user units. The job entails extensive travel to support, guide and facilitate the banks property network expansion plan.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • To provide Project management support for branch expansion programme including the construction and refurbishment of Bank buildings and to facilitate seamless handover of completed structures to the end user units.
  • The job includes supporting the department process procurement of consultants, contractors, vendors; monitoring, evaluating and reporting construction progress from inception to completion and handover of a building fit for purpose.
  • Responsible for establishing maintenance procedures and co-ordinating facilities maintenance of the branches nationwide, head office campuses. Ensures that buildings are fully functional and operational.
  • Ensures that all operations are in accordance with established health and safety regulations and that services purchased are of acceptable quality at the least possible cost.
  • Keeps Senior Management well informed of significant problems from day to day operational activities. Trains, directs and appraises assigned personnel. Also acts as the Services manager and carries the responsibility of operational running of all the equipment.

Preferred Qualification and Experience
Qualification:

  • Possess a Degree in Project Management, Facility Management, Building Construction, Architecture, or Engineering  
  • Professional membership of a recognised institution –  RIBA, NIA, COREN etc.

Experience:

  • 10- 12 years’ post qualification
  • Vast knowledge of Facilities Management systems and equipment. Generators, Air conditioning.
