Job Title: Technical Assistant
Location: Lagos
Job Description

  • The Technical Assistant is a key role in any project team Gland oil and gas company (GOG). The job holder ensures that technical and administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner to support the technical personnel in the delivery of the specific piece of work or project.

  • Strong IT skills.
  • HNC/ HND or equivalent in administrative or technical discipline.
  • Advanced use of e.g. Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.





Responsibilities

  • Supports technical and engineering personnel with project support duties.
  • Compiles technical reports.
  • Provides input to technical studies/research projects, technical reports, project planning, etc.
  • Produces accurate statistics, relevant figures, etc.
  • Undertakes data analysis, identifies and investigates variations.
  • Prepares technical drawings, datasheets and documents under the direction of the engineers.
  • Develops and maintains technical databases and spreadsheets.
  • Sources technical documents, information and drawings.



Job Title: Drilling Engineer
Location:
 Lagos
Job Description 

  • A Drilling Engineer develops, plans and costs drilling activities in GOG.
  • A Drilling Engineer can be involved throughout the lifecycle of a well, from the initial design through to its abandonment, and also works closely with other technical departments to drill for oil and gas in new or existing fields.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans drilling programme.
  • Designs the well.
  • Co-ordinates the work of offshore drilling teams.
  • Analyses drilling performance and factors affecting cost and efficiency FOR GOG.
  • Prepares budget and monitors costs.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned by the management of GOG.

Relevant Qualifications and Skills

  • Relevant Degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Should be willing to travel offshore.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong team working skills.
