Job Title: Freight Forwarding Officer
Location: Lagos, Kaduna, Kano
Requirements
- Minimum of OND in Logistics, Purchasing and Supply or any related discipline
- Relevant professional certification in shipping or Maritime Operations e.g. Certified Institute of Shipping, Nigerian Institute of Shipping. Also, membership of the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) is an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years cognate experience in a freight forwarding or Logistics Company.
Job Description
- Prepare imported cargo for examination with customs
- Arrange for clearance with customs and relevant government agencies such as NAFDAC, NDLEA etc
- Oversee proper and safe handling of consignment till it gets to the custody of the customer
- Assist clients in obtaining insurance reimbursement for exported cargos
- Distribute clearance documentations to government agencies such as NDLEA, NAFDAC etc
- Liaise with ICNL Logistics department to transport consignment in accordance with customer’s requirment
- Arrange for the delivery or storage of consignment as agreed with customer
- Liaise with custom brokers, shipping lines etc in resolving issues with clearing
