Fortune Dynamics Foundation to Train 100 Unemployed Graduates in Nigeria

Fortune Dynamics Foundation – Ahead of a job fair planned for June, a non profit organisation, Fortune Dynamics Foundation has outlined plans to train about 100 unemployed graduates for free.

The organisation, in a statement issued in Abuja, said the decision to train the graduates is in recognition of the huge gap between skills required in the workplace and capacity of most people in the labour market to adequately satisfy these requirements.

This “employability gap,” Forence lgboayaka, the foundation’s Managing Director observed, is one of the main challenges facing the labour market in Nigeria.

According to her, employers of labour who recognise the pivotal role which the right human capital play in the overall success of their organisation, go the extra mile in allocating scarce resources to training on basic skills which fresh employees should already possess.

She assured that the foundation through the 2-day training is stepping in to bridge the gap by providing the lucky unemployed graduates requisite training that would enable them fit into jobs with ease.

Igboayaka who expressed serious concern about the employability gaps in the Nigerian Labour Market, affirmed the commitment of her foundation to continue to contribute its quota towards closing the gap.

‘For 3 years now, Fortunes Dynamics Foundation had embarked on a bold mission to train graduates for free hence providing them with better job opportunities”, she stated.

Taged “Bridging Employability Gaps’ candidates for the training are however required to register in an online portal.

She explained further that the training is a prelude to a Job Fair to be hosted by the foundation and entitled “An Educated and Well-trained Workforce: The Pivotal Catalyst for Business and Economic Growth”.

The job fair she added is a veritable ground for both unemployed graduates and prospective employers to meet and interact for their mutual benefit.

She therefore calls on all organisations seeking to employ new hands to take advantage of this Job Fair to meet and select from the pool of well-trained job seekers, while job seekers alike are encouraged to register free to attend the job fair.
