Blue Lodge Hotel, is an established hotel located in Ikeja, Lagos State. We are currently seeking to employ suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Book Keeper

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Assisting the Head of Accounts in duties delegated to you.
  • Oversee all cash movement at all cashier collecting points
  • Lodgement of cash, cheques and other instruments into company’s account.
  • Ensure the availability of cash for change at all times for cashier’s use.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities with cashier’s close of day report.
  • Review bank statements and reconciliation where needed.
  • Monitoring of creditors/debtors accounts, cash position, payments control for suppliers
  • Participation in end of month stock taking.
  • Provision and monitoring of weekly approved petty cash expenses.
  • Making sure cost of sales of all the items is correctly ascertained.
  • Double checking financial controlled system and procedure
  • Correctly to their different revenue center.
  • Conducting reconciliation within the departments and outside company.
  • Proper accounting posting Via sophisticated accounting software and procedures
  • Coordinating monthly inventory taking with the store manager.
  • Supervising all journal and ledgers account balance
  • Reporting inventory valuation to the top management.
  • Investigating every variance in inventory so as to debit or credit the appropriate department.
