Job Description
An Agro & Allied business, is searching for well groomed and experienced Farmers who will work at various levels to manage a newly established farm which occupies 220 hectares of land in Imeko/Afon LGA of Ogun State.
Responsibilities
Directs and coordinates workers activities, such as planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting, grading, payroll, and recordkeeping
Ensures that the Supervisors are monitoring and coordinating the Farm Hands effectively.
Coordinates the activities with those of engineering, equipment maintenance, packing houses, and other related departments.
Confers with purchasers and arranges for sale of crops.
Records information, such as production, farm management practices, and parent stock, and prepares financial and operational reports.
Determines procedural changes in drying, grading, storage, and shipment for greater efficiency and accuracy
Analyzes soil to determine type and quantity of fertilizer required for maximum production.
Qualifications and Requirements
B.Sc in Agriculture or it’s equivalent and major in Soil Science & Crop Production or any related discipline
At least minimum of 5-8 years’ experience at least in Supervisory role in a large Farm.
Applicants must be able to prepare budgets and forecasts
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Good negotiation technique
Good communication skills
Must be computer literate
Only those who have managed similar sizes for Crop Production should apply.
