Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Job Description
- Our client, is in need of a Chief Financial Officer for their headquarters in Lagos to accomplishing company goals for their Agribusiness.
- The role reports to the MD and includes budgeting, internal controls, business planning & strategy, investment plans, developing portfolio strategy, setting operational direction, reviewing and evaluating operating mechanisms among others.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the business is run to its full potential and continues to grow through expansion of current business and new opportunities
- Implement management reporting and controls suitable to the diversity of the business
- Provide input into key decision making around investments and business proposals
- Lead recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of department staff
- Managing the working capital cycle with a clear mandate to improve cash to cash cycle.
- Ensure proper budgeting process in short term & long term, cover all aspects of the business and periodical service of actuals against budgets.
- Greater understanding of risk management framework, evaluate Financial and Commercial Risks of the Company’s business.
- Devise and implement Risk Mitigation mechanisms for both the operational and commercial sides of Business.
Qualification & Experience
- Chartered Accountant having 12-15 years work experience in commodity & supply chain.
- Must have been “Topper Grade” material in School, University and Professional exams.
- Must have worked in an ERP environment.
- Good communicator at every level of organisation from operations room to the board room – incl. but no limited to good oral and written English with strong multicultural awareness
- Excellent leadership skills capable of leading team.
- Demonstrated experience as a business partner in driving controls, compliance and performance
- Knowledgeable of IFRS.
- Meaningful exposure to SAP and related IT knowledge.
- Good knowledge of Project Management
- Understanding of Manufacturing accounting and costing
- Ensure the adequate insurance against all perils
- High Degree of Assurance on Financials & Budgeting
