Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Weekend Programmes for the 2017/2018 Academic Session.
National Diploma(ND) Courses
The National Diploma (ND) courses of three (3) years duration are available by direct admission in the following Programmes:
School of Business Studies
- Accountancy
- Banking & Finance
- Business Administration
- Marketing
- Mass Communication
- Office Technology & Management
School of Science & Technology
- Computer Science
- Science Laboratory Technology
- Statistics
Higher National Diploma (HND) Courses
Higher National Diploma (HND) courses of three (3) years duration are available by direct admission in the following Programmes:
School of Business Studies
- Accountancy
- Banking & Finance
- Business Administration
- Office Technology & Management
School of Science & Technology
- Computer Science
Conditions for AdmissionNational Diploma(ND) Courses:
- Candidates for any of the the National Diploma (ND) courses must possess five credit passes in the relevant subject in SSCE (WASC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB) which must include English Language and Mathematics. Other relevant subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Economics, Government, Geography, Commerce, Accounts etc.
Higher National Diploma(HND) Courses:
- Candidates for any of the Higher National Diploma (HND) courses listed above must possess the National Diploma (ND) of the Polytechnic with a minimum of lower credit or equivalent qualifications from other similar institutions whose courses have earned NBTE Accreditation.
- However, for HND Business Administration & Management, only ND in Business Administration or Marketing is acceptable.
- Similarly, for HND Computer Science, ND Computer Science, Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with a major in Computer Education, not below merit level grade and CPEI of Computer Professionals of Nigeria (CPN) with at least lower credit grade are acceptable.
- In addition, candidates must have satisfied the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro Matriculation requirements for the National Diploma Programme and must have at least one year Post-National Diploma (ND) Industrial Experience.
- Evidence of the relevant one-year Post-ND Industrial Experience and academic transcript(s) from the candidate’s institution must be submitted along with the application for the Higher National Diploma admission.
Deadline: 31st October, 2017.
How to Apply
- Purchase a Bank draft of ten thousand naira (N10,000) only in favour of “Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro” from any Commercial Banks in Nigeria.
- Obtain receipt from the Bursary Department with the Bank draft.
- Collect application form for admission from the Admissions Office of the Polytechnic with the receipt obtained from the Bursary Department.
- Complete the form and submit to the Admissions Office for further necessary action with photocopies of your claimed credentials.
