Job Title: Cost/Schedule/Controls Engineer

Main Functions
  • The Cost/Schedule/Controls Engineer will perform or coordinate effort for cost estimate preparation, estimating oversight and quality assurance reviews for Company operated and Other Builder Operator estimates for all Gate and Funding milestones.
  • The Cost/Schedule/Controls Engineer will also prepare Check Estimates and Schedules to compare with OBO Operator-prepared submittals.
  • Also this person will participate in estimate / Schedule assessments (verification of project cost & schedule bases). Lastly, they are expected to participate in Estimating Group process efficiency tools and quality assurance review process improvements.
Tasks and Responsibilites
  • Assist Estimating Group Supervisor with analysis and planning for C&SD Estimate / Schedule staffing requirements
  • Mentor less experienced group members and ensure the technical quality of work
  • Provide input for personnel performance appraisal for cost and schedule practitioners as requested
  • Assist Area Supervisors with updates of weekly Project Services Status Report and project status summary reports
  • Conceive, implement or participate in capital efficiency improvement initiatives

Job Requirements
  • B.Sc. in Engineering with strengths in the areas of Project management, and production facilities.
  • 5 years varied engineering experience.

Job Title: Project Manager (Non IT)

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and finalizing projects according to the specifications and deadlines, all while keeping the project within budget.
  • May partner with external vendors based on the nature of the project.
  • Position will receive direction and support. Project manager on Junior Level is typically managing small, low-risk projects and is responsible for its overall direction, completion and financial outcome.

Job Title: System Completion Planner
Location:

Main Functions
  • The Systems Completion Planner focuses on developing and updating commissioning and start-up planning deliverables for Company in order for the project team to test Contractor performance in these areas.
  • The role is characterized by: Strong planning background with specific knowledge of commissioning and start-up activities during planning and execution, collaboration with the Contractor to ensure scheduling and reporting requirements associated with systems completion are clearly understood and adhered to and effective communication skills with the ability to produce polished reports and communication packages.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Review and provide input to planning related deliverables including but not limited to project schedule, commissioning schedule, fish bones, skylines, etc.
  • Develop and steward regular updating of project commissioning and start-up fish bones, skylines, and schedules
  • Validate planning deliverables with discipline specialists and Commissioning Leads
  • Support SC Lead in:
  • Development of project team KPIs with regards to systems completion
  • Development of regular systems completion reports during planning and execution phases
  • Provision of SC data to the Project Team
  • Support SC Coordinator to track completion of deliverables
  • Retain updated information on Systems Completion Team training requirements, scheduling and records

  • Support development of detailed Start-up Schedule and update throughout the start-up phase at a daily activity level.
  • Support Start-up team develop daily reports including activities completed, planned as well as metrics on operations such as consumables and capacity levels.
  • Tracks and assists expediting late material and equipment deliveries also monitors their effect on handover plans. Flags punch items requiring material/equipment
  • Monitor Contractor’s Preservation performance and maintenance activities by subsystem
  • Apply company’s learned; Participate in company’s learned reviews and provide input to close-out report section upon completion of Turnover.
Job Requirements
  • Years of closely related professional experience

Main Functions
  • The Senior Project Management Advisor will typically be involved in the execution planning of one or more major capital projects (>500 M$) during Select and Define Stages and may support and monitor several such projects in the Execution phase post Gate 3.
  • The role requires a seasoned and experienced project professional who can mentor and train less experienced personnel assigned to the Project Execution function and to specific projects.
  • The Advisor will ensure the project team obtains the services needed to achieve overall project objectives and strategies and efficiently executes the project in accordance with expectations.
  • The Advisor may also be involved in the execution of general interest activities that may have broad application across all projects (enhancements, staffing studies, IPR Process and Plans, maintenance of selected work process, special studies, etc.).
  • During the Execution phase, the Advisor will work with project teams to support and validate the use of best practices in project management execution.
Responsibilities
  • During the early stages of a project (Planning for Development, Select and Define Stages), the Advisor will be involved in the development and coordination of project execution plans, bringing in related expertise in other areas of project management such as SSHE, regulatory, quality, construction and cost and schedule development as required.
  • During the execution phase, the Advisor will support the Project Manager in the implementation of project execution plans as required.
  • The Advisor may also have responsibilities in the execution of general interest activities (enhancements, staffing studies, IPR Process and Plans, maintenance of selected work process, special studies, etc.) and is expected to become a subject matter expert in one or more elements of EMCAPS.
  • The Advisor will be involved in the development and coordination of the overall Project Plan with responsibilities for Project Objectives and Strategies, Project Characterization, Roadmap, Organization planning, Key Issues, Interface Management, Lessons Learned, and Management of Change elements as well as business risk analysis and input to concept selection and cost/schedule estimates.
  • The Advisor will also lead Front End Execution Planning workshops and associated work programs leading up to Gate 2.

  • 20+ years’ experience in major capital projects for the oil and gas industry
  • At least 10 years’ experience on international projects, with at least two overseas assignments
  • Experience in execution of a major capital project, in a management level capacity on the Project Management Team, is preferred

Other Relevant Information
  • Provides direct and specific design engineering support in the Structural Engineering area to assigned project teams within the Nigerian Project Organization.
  • Performs the assigned technical tasks in a format agreed upon between the Project Manager (PM) and the Design Engineering Services Manager (DESM). Ensures that the tasks can be completed within the framework of EMCAPs and within an agreed timeframe.
  • Identifies, defines, and performs the assigned tasks, including finalizing pre-requisite tasks or information. Updates and reports the progress of deliverables to the PM and DESM on a regular basis.
  • Coordinates / oversees design contractor activities in the process discipline area for assigned projects.

  • Performs ad hoc medium and long term technical design engineering studies aimed at improving project engineering effectiveness, including risk, constructability, design and execution assessments
  • Provides continual interface with external departments, especially Loss Prevention, Development Planning, Facilities Engineering, Facilities Operations Technical Engineering and all core JV Operations groups.
  • When assigned the role of Lead Design Engineer (LDE) for a specific design engineering services Work Order, represents MPN, coordinates design activities and interfaces with Project Engineer (PE) to align design work with project objectives.
