Job Description
  • The role of Transport Specialist is to provide support for the delivery of imported goods from ports to Client door step.
Responsibilities
As a Transport Specialist, you will need to:
  • Support the delivery job allocation process
  • Maintain record of Transporter allocation for delivery goods to our clients
  • Updating daily loading plan at the report and reporting performance achieve
  • Provide reporting dashboard on delivery performance
  • Produce report for 3PL performance management
  • Write incidence reports and catalog
  • Monitoring of all vehicles in transit and making sure they adhere to the schedule and route planned
  • Monitoring offloading Lead time at client’s premise and escalating abnormal duration
  • Co-ordinate documentation and communication of the key business processes essential to effective logistics management.
Requirements
  • Minimum education: Bachelor.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Operations and Supply chain
  • Experience with road transportation, haulage transport preferably
  • Evidence of an analytical approach using qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques
  • Must have the ability to be diplomatic yet assertive in delivery of duties
  • Must be dependable and proactive
  • Must possess excellent time management and communication skills
  • Must be able to pay great attention to detail
  • Must be able to multi task and work under stressful conditions
  • Self-starter, self-motivator and resourceful, able to take the initiative to resolve issues and to share that initiative with others; able to work in a team and as an individual
  • Computer literate, specifically: MS Office skills, including an advanced working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Must possess good analytical and organizational skills
  • Must possess excellent planning and numeric skills
