The He/She will be responsible for directing the company’s technical plans and deploying all company’s engineering and technical solutions as well as developing, designing and seeking continuous improvement of the production systems.

Qualifications

First Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
Minimum of 20 years post-qualification experience in the upstream oil & gas industry, with at least 10 years in a supervisory/ managerial role
Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary technical team including: Geologists, Geophysicists, Petrophysicists, Reservoir Engineers, Facilities Engineers and Production Technologists
Extensive hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of E&P, drilling and gas operations and /or engineering knowledge

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient management of the company’s financial resources and ensure that all the goals and objectives set by the Board of Directors for the business is achieved.
The CFO will act as a strategic partner to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and translate the overall corporate strategy into financial and business plans and projections.
He/She will be responsible for overseeing tax planning to optimize the company’s tax position and ensure tax compliance accordingly.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be expected to have the following qualifications/competences amongst others:

First degree or its equivalent
Professional accounting/finance certification e.g .ACA, ACAA, CIMA, CFA
An MBA or business-related postgraduate degree would be an added advantage
Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience,with at least 5 years in a management role
Knowledge of the technicalities of the E&P sector would be an added advantage
Track record of accomplishments including strategic initiatives and leadership of major change efforts
Strong business acumen,maturity and tact,including the ability to relate with highest levels of management of financial institutions and financers
Hands on experience in financial planning and analysis

Roles and Responsibilities

Basic Requirements

At least a Masters level Degree or (PhD) in Economics, Political Science & Public Policy Development;
Past experience working for (or closely with) major development organizations, especially international agencies with at least 5 years in senior executive position leading a relevant (RPA) department.
Experience in research and development of complex national & global issues will be of advantage.
Excellent writing skills with a proven ability to provide clarity and succinctness on communiques.
Very strong interpersonal and communication skills, vibrant professional networks within global knowledge and management community.
Age should be 40 – 55 years old.
