 Job Title: Public Health Promotion (PHP) Officer

Location: Bade, Yobe
Job Summary

  • The Public Health Promotion Officer will be based in Bade, Yobe State and work under the supervision of the WASH Program Manager and will supervise Public health promotion and non-food items distribution activities such as planning beneficiary selection and registration, distribution of NFI kits, community mobilization etc following Action Against Hunger’s local strategy and international guidelines.
  • The PHP Officer will support the WASH Deputy Project Manager throughout the planning, design and implementation phases of WASH technical activities.
Requirements
The tasks and responsibilities includes but are not limited to:
  • Revise and adapt hygiene promotion training materials to local context and in line with target groups to be trained.
  • Plan beneficiaries’ selection and registration and lead the distribution of NFI kits with the Field Assistant team.
  • Ensure that work meets with SPHERE minimum standards.
  • Assist the WASH Deputy Program Manager with and where required participate in community mobilization.
  • Prepare training tools on relevant technical topics and conduct trainings for both internal staff and external stakeholders.
  • Represent Action Against Hunger at WASH meetings and technical working groups as required by line manager.
QualificationsThe successful candidate will:

Job Title: Area Project Manager

Job Summary
  • The Area Manager will be based in Bade, Yobe State and report to the Field Coordinator.
  • He/she will be responsible for the proper implementation and completion of project throughout its different phases as well as the appropriate management of its specific scope, schedule, resources, quality, risks, representation, coordination and contractual requirements.
Task and Responsibilities
  • Finalizing and managing the update and implementation of the project(s) Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP).

Job Title: Base Finance and Administrative Officer

Job Summary
  • The Base Finance and Administrative Officer will be based in Bade, Yobe state and report to the Area Project Manager. He/she will manage the cash/bank and the accountancy of the base, budget maintenance, cash forecast and cash flow.
  • The Finance and Admin Officer will also provide administrative support to the HR department in various aspects of the recruitment process as well as staff training and development.
Responsibilities

  • Ensure bank books & cash book are closed, reconciled & sent to capital on monthly basis together with the bank reconciliation & cash counts.
  • Ensure compliance with the mission’s procurement procedure.

Job Title: Base Logistician

  • The Base Logistician will be based in Bade, Yobe State and report to the Area Project Manager.
  • The Base Log will provide support to the logistics department in the management of the logistics supply chain, equipments, means of communication and the vehicle fleet.
  • He/she will also manage the base logistics team and follow HR related issues, manage all rehabilitation and maintenance of office and premises, ensure proper security of office, warehouse, guest-house as well as the mission’s equipment.

Job Title: LGA Technical Advisor

  • The Local Government Area Technical Advisors will be based in Bade/Machina/Fika, Yobe State and report to the Area Project Manager.
  • He/she will support the assigned local government area (LGA) in nutrition program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
  • He/she will ensure free flow of information and support coordination of activities between Action Against Hunger, its government counterparts and other partners.
  • The Local Government Area Technical Advisor will also provide technical support to the coordination of micro nutrient supplementation and Maternal New Born and Child Health (MNCH) including strengthening the technical and advocacy capacity at the LGA level.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Providing technical support in planning, implementation and monitoring of key IYCF interventions by working closely with the nutrition focal persons (NFP) and MCH expert at LGA level.
  • Working closely with NFP to support operational researches to identify barriers and facilitators of optimal breastfeeding and complimentary feeding practices.
  • Ensuring community nutrition volunteers are working together with IYCF support group.
  • Supporting the development of key messages and behavioral change communication materials to promote optimal infant and young child feeding practices.

Job Title: Nutrition CMAM Officer

  • Ensure that all IYCF interventions are fully integrated, scaled-up and implemented as per national protocols
  • Supervise monthly group meetings conducted by the nutrition assistants.

  • Work with other partner, MOH, INGOs, NGOs, CBOs including the communities and local leaders at all stages of project implementation.
