Job Title: RF and Microwave Design Specialist

 Key Role
The role is necessary for the preparation of standard documents required for the provisioning of customer circuits into the network. The role is an integral part of the network provisioning team.

Qualification
The job holder must have a Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 3 – 5 years post-NYSC experience. Relevant work and ‘Hands-On’ experience in with Network access elements e.g. Microwave Radios (SAF, Ceragon, NEC) and VSAT is desirable.

Key Accountabilities

Support the Vodacom Business Nigeria Cambridge Broadband Wireless access (BWA) and VSAT iDirect network with emphasis on uptime
Design Customer access RF / BWA links, ensuring designs meet both network and client requirements.
Preparation of path-loss diagram, installation manuals and all other documents required for the installation of customer access circuits (BWA & VSAT)
Provide 2nd Level support for the VBN Microwave and VSAT network.
Work with the Vendor Management team in the development of Vendor certification process/procedure.
Continuous improvement of prepared technical documents for the network in Nigeria.
Produce Diagrams explaining Design choices; network Costs, BoQ, mast height request and support Bids or proposals when required.
Interface with the Transmission team for inter-related assignments.
Manage and ensure all microwave and VSAT circuit are designed according to the VBN product catalog and all other VBN technical policies
Perform regular audit of the network to determine the state of all installed microwave & VSAT elements
Responsible for liaising with the Service Management Team as regards network topology diagrams for customer circuits
Assist in maintaining and updating all satellite capacity planning database i.e. tx plan and freq allocation tables, monthly analysis, PEB/CAB, Antenna registration.
Assist in Satellite capacity optimization, transmission planning, and frequency allocation.
Support the Network Support team as required
Knowledge

Good technical reporting skills. e.g. usage of Microsoft Visio, Excel, and word etc.
Sound operational experience with a minimum of 3 years working as a field operations engineer or network operation center engineer.
Familiarity with network planning tools like Pathloss, ATDI, SATMASTER PRO V 6.5, V7.2, NSI etc
Familiarity with Network access elements e.g. Microwave Radios (SAF, Ceragon, NEC) and VSAT.
Desktop research skills, a good understanding of the concept of trade-off during design and an ability to work with little or no supervision.

Job Title: Product Sales Specialist

Product Sales Specialist Key Role
The overall responsibility of this role is to drive sales and the adoption of the assigned product set across all verticals and regions.

Qualification
The job holder must have Engineering or social sciences background with a minimum of Second Class degree. The role requires a minimum 5 years post-NYSC experience in relating business requirements elicitation, training & facilitation, and technical sales in the Telecommunications Industry.

Key Accountabilities

Provide the Sales Organisation business consultative support required to sell the product. The Product Specialist shall function as the in-house product subject matter expert and a reference point for the Sales and Solutions Architecture team
Actively engage the Sales unit to facilitate sales across all verticals for the assigned product set
Provide pricing support to the Solutions Architecture team for pre-sales solution formulation including bid preparation
Have a good understanding of customer and market dynamics.
Prospect aggressively and promote the sales of assigned product set within the Sales organisation and the Nigerian market
Identify new business and ways to increase revenue from the product across all accounts
Proactively monitor and report product sales to ensure that set targets are met
Develop relationship with Account Managers and develop revenue stream for assigned products
Participate/facilitate client meetings (with Sales Account Managers) for the promotion/sales of assigned product set
Provide feedback/input into the product/propositions development process
Prepare necessary reports (RFP’s, Metrics, Periodic Business Reviews) and maintain in company database. Provide monthly reporting of revenue intake and closed sales to Portfolio Manager.
Maintain complete customer files and maintain appropriate customer and prospect information in the company contact management database
Knowledge

Sales Experience in a technology environment is essential
