Job Title: Manager, Business Development – Software

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are currently in search of an experienced, ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele.
  • You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating and implementing Softcom’ strategy internally and externally so that all employees, partners, suppliers, and contractors understand the company-wide strategic plan and how it carries out the company’s overall goals.
  • Driving decision-making that creates medium- and long-term improvement.
  • Establishing and reviewing key strategic priorities and translating them into a comprehensive strategic plan.
  • Monitoring the execution of the strategic plan.
  • Facilitating and driving key strategic initiatives through inception phase.
  • Ensuring departmental/unit strategic planning projects reflect organizational strategic priorities.
  • Partnering with institutional leadership, special committees, and consultants to support execution of key initiatives.
  • Developing inclusive planning processes.
  • Translating strategies into actionable and quantitative plans.
  • Mobilizing and managing teams of individuals charged with executing strategies.
  • Acting as a resource across an organization to increase broad cohesion for strategic plans.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc/HND or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Software Engineering
  • Five (5) years of experience as a business development manager, or sales executive
  • A long record of success in selling software technology based products

Skills:

  • Proven sales track record
  • Experience in customer support is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Proficiency in English
  • Market knowledge
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills

Job Title: Senior Manager, Business Development – Software

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan ways to grow the business, identify areas of client needs, manage and participate in business negotiations, and approve and review other business decisions.
  • Manage deadlines and delegate tasks to subordinates.
  • Analyze and monitor business growth and decline, as well as provide possible solutions and new ways to increase productivity and sales.
  • Formulate short-term and long-term goals, as well as formulate plans to achieve both. Research, locate, define and target key business prospects.
  • Work with customers to provide feedback to development teams for new content and products.
  • Establish and nurture relationships that fill business pipeline with prospective partners and customers.
  • Negotiate new partnerships and business alliances; work closely with legal experts to write contracts for new business partners.
  • Lead the creation of business development strategies; identify roadblocks and drive new business from conception through closure.
  • Perform all other functions as may be required of you to enable Softcom achieve its strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • MBA is a must have
  • B.Sc/HND or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Software Engineering
  • Five (9) years of experience as a business development manager, or sales executive
  • A long record of success in selling software technology based products

Job Title: Corporate Strategy Advisor

Location: Lagos

  • You should be an innovator and know the ins and outs of various financial structures, outsourcing opportunities, public communications and competitive intelligence.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lead teams of managers while inspiring and influencing a diverse workforce.

Job Title: Corporate Legal Advisor

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are currently in search of an experienced Corporate Legal Advisor to serve as an in-house counsel and handle all complex legal matters and projects.
  • You will ensure the legality of commercial transactions and advise our company on legal rights and duties.

Responsibilities

  • Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents)
  • Develop company policy and position on legal issues
  • Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks
  • Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
  • Structure, draft and review reports and other legal documents
  • Represent company in legal proceedings (administrative boards, court trials etc.)
  • Draft and administer all contracts
  • Negotiate deals and attend company meetings

Qualifications

  • LL.B, LL.M
  • Five (5) years proven experience in Corporate Law.
  • Proven comparable law firm experience
  • Proven background on corporate law (contract law, tax law, accounting, securities law, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, licensing)
