Aero Contractors Pleads with 600 Workers Over Redundancy

Aero contractors – Managing Director of Aero contractors, Capt. Ado Sanusi, has pleaded with workers of the airline recently declared redundant, saying the airline will start paying them once the airline returns to normal operations.

About half of the 1,300 members of the workforce were affected in the redundancy declaration while they are yet to be paid eight months after.

Sanusi said the redundancy declaration does not mean they have been sacked, adding once the airline returns to normal operations, they would be recalled.

He confirmed that about N1.9 billion is required to pay the workers which the airline may not be able to afford at the moment.

He said with the C-Check services being rendered to other organizations, the airline may be returning to normal operations gradually, adding that by January, its fleet would increase to three.
