 Job Title: Assistant Financial Controller
Location: Kano
Job Summary
  • The Assistant Financial Controller would oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures, ensuring that everything adheres to company policies and that all reports are completed on time utilizing the correct standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Key Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Financial Control or senior level Accounting.
  • A second degree/ MBA is an added advantage
  • Professional accreditation (ACA, ACCA)
  • SAP ERP Savvy an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of business and office matters
  • Must be compatible with Sage 300 knowledge
  • Experience in developing accounting systems, processes, policies and procedures are essential

Job Title: Junior Sous Chef
Location: Kano
Job Summary
  • The junior Sous Chef assists the Executive Sous Chef.
  • The person occupying this position is directly in charge of all the other members of the kitchen staff.
  • The sous chef requires both culinary and managerial skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure consistent and smooth running of food production
  • Ensure that required standards are adhered to in the production and preparation of food – in quality, quantity and safety.
  • Work towards exceeding customer’s expectation by encouraging and promoting high level of service.
  • Supervise performance of kitchen staff to ensure proper activity.
  • Give appropriate support or guidance to members of kitchen when need arises.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared according to specification and served at the correct quality, portion size, and temperature.
  • Ensure proper arrangement and garnishing of food.
  • Manage food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared.
  • Ensure effective stock purchase, its receipt and storage.
  • Ensure all complaints, inquiries, and suggestions by customers are attended to accordingly.
Key Requirements

  • Ability to pay attention to details: adherence to specific ingredients and measurement needed for various menus.

  • Proven 2 – 3 years relevant experience in a 5 – star hotel or restaurant.
  • Ability to work with figures and manage budget.

Job Description
  • Our client currently has an opening for a Assistant Sales & Marketing Manager to work within Lagos, Kano, and Abuja.
Job Profile
  • The Assistant Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for strategic business unit profitably, generating results related to business development, operating expenses and driving up profitability. Note, this is PR.
  • You will be responsible and accountable for creating and maximizing sales opportunities and actively promote, educate and sell the products and services, in alignment with the overall company strategy to ensure that growth in sales is generated from your efforts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for Corporate and Travel Agent Room Sales for the hotel.
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
  • Represent Hotels in various events and exhibition.
  • Implements all sales action plans related to market areas as outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
  • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Acquiring and developing new business accounts and preparing sales proposals for clients.
  • Closely following up on all business leads.
  • Participate in sales presentations aimed at pitching for business across pre-determined locations as required in the sales/marketing scorecard.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree with Minimum of 2.2 ONLY
  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years Relevant Sales & Marketing experience in any recognised financial Institution, Insurance or Telecommunications company.
  • Must be very young, intuitive, agile and smart.
  • Must be very presentable with excellent communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work within Kano, Lagos and Abuja
