Requirements

  • Advanced Subsurface Engineering technical skills, with depth and breadth across subsurface engineering, wellwork operations and well completion design
  • 15 years of Subsurface and Completions work experiences
  • Expert competency in core Subsurface skill areas: artificial lift, casing/tubing design, completion and workover design, operations surveillance, fishing and milling, sand control, fracture stimulation, hydraulic workover operations, injection well design and operation, geoscience and formation evaluation, production surveillance, offshore rig operations (platform, Jackup, floating), subsea well engineering, subsurface equipment, well abandonment, well integrity, well operability, well performance and optimization, wireline and electric line, well control
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team to integrate technical expertise with other disciplines to achieve integrated solutions
  • Sound decision-making and business judgment with ability to adapt to time pressures and changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective teamwork; able to influence others over whom no formal authority exists
  • Ability to plan and organize own work and mentor others in both technical and non-technical skills



Job Description

  • Delivers individual contributions and technical work products pertaining to subsurface and well completions and provides internal technical consulting for Subsurface and Completions engineers working on drilling wells, projects and studies
  • Interacts with Engineering and Operations staff as both a peer and role model to collaboratively address key technical and business priorities related to Subsurface Engineering
  • Identifies Subsurface Engineering & Operations opportunities, articulates technical / business challenges, and provides leadership to drive resolution
  • Ensures effective and efficient studies are performed in direct support of business objectives
  • Proactively identifies, justifies, develops, helps implement, and reappraises improvements
  • Mentors technical staff in subsurface engineering and completion design
  • Advises Management on Subsurface Engineering and Operations matters central to key business decisions
  • Represents the Company in Key Ccompetitor, partner, NOC, industry, government, and academia forums and committees as business needs warrant
