A Securities Dealing & Proprietary Investment Group is recruiting for the following positions: Institutional Sales Lead-Securities Trading, Currencies And Trade Manager and Group Head, Finance.

Job Title: Group Head, Finance

REPORTING
The Employee shall, in all his/her actions, be responsible and accountable to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors.

JOB PURPOSE

The Officer is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the company in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS), Financial Reporting Council of
Nigeria (FRCN), the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry.
The role also plans and directs short-term and long term financial goals and manages short & long term funding.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties shall include but not be limited to the following:
BUDGETING AND FINANCIAL FORECAST
Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance.
Participate in the development of the company’s plans and programs.
Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new strategies and regulatory action

LIQUIDITY & TREASURY MANAGEMENT

Ensures that optimal liquidity is available to deliver business plan.
Negotiate/arranges external finance, when necessary. Must have had experience with fundraising activities
Review working capital/cash flow requirement on a regular basis.
Monitor Banking activities for the entire Group for proper running and ensure
regular reconciliations of all banking transactions with the cash books.
Oversees the capital structure of the company, determining the best mix of debt, equity and internal financing.

FINANCIAL REPORTING
Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the Managing Director, the Board and other senior
executives in performing their responsibilities.
Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors.
Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.

REGULATORY & STATUTORY RELATIONSHIPS

Coordinating regulatory and supervisory functions – Complied with regulatory requirements by approving and files statements and reports; files returns and pays taxes.
Managing relationship with Regulatory and Statutory bodies, i.e. CBN, SEC, FIRS, States’ Internal revenue Service.
Implementation of optimal tax structuring for the company.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance related field.
Must be qualified / certified Accountant (ACA/ACCA).
Working knowledge of IFRS.
Excellent Spreadsheet skills and competence in building Financial models
Minimum of 7 years cognate experience, 2 of which must be in Senior Financial Management Capacity spanning Corporate & Business Planning, Revenue
Assurance, Treasury Management and Accounting in recognized Top-Tier Financial Institution or a top Consulting Institution.
Demonstrable understanding of Banking and OFI financials as well as advanced business finance and performance analysis.
Excellent deal-making abilities as a consultant/negotiator
Knowledge of statutory and regulatory issues as well as Global best practices.
