Job Title: Box Office Cashier

Location: Lagos / Calabar / Enugu
Reports To: Supervisor, Box Office

Role Expectations

The successful candidate’s specific functions include:

  • Handling and managing payment properly.
  • Effective stock management
  • Take stock before and after sales.
  • Adequate product knowledge
  • Handling and maintaining equipment used in products production, such as popcorn, hotdog etc.
  • Display excellent customer service
  • Make certain guest service is friendly, helpful and fast
  • Ensure the security of all box office cash and tickets
  • Complete ticket purchase transactions by:
    • Greeting each guest and identifying tickets requested
    • Reading a computer screen, operating a keyboard or dispensing manual tickets
    • Completing a credit card or Movie Watcher Rewards transaction or collecting cash and making accurate change
    • Thanking the guest.
  • Keep box office clean and well organized and update box office signage
  • Distribute and understand how to operate movie equipment
  • Enforce ratings to keep underage guests from accessing auditoriums with adult content
  • Perform daily box office maintenance duties and complete various reports as needed
  • Answer questions from guests and resolve any concerns

Role Target:

  • This role is responsible for operating the box office selling movie tickets to guests.
  • You are also to field questions about content, provide directions to the theatre, answer the phone, inform guests about prices/policies.

Qualification

  • Minimum B.Sc in any related field.

Experience:

  • Relevant 3 years’ experience in a similar role

Job Title: Box Office Attendant

Location: Lagos / Calabar / Enugu
Reports To:  Business Manager Cinemas

Role Target

  • This role is responsible for serving the general public by selling event related tickets, cash management and compliance.
  • Operates a cash register and / or credit card equipment.
  • Responsible for customer service and general area cleaning.
  • Supports marketing and promotional projects for ticketed events. Occasionally supports event site ticket sales as needed. Sells and processes ticket orders via mail, telephone, Internet, and over-the-counter.
  • Distributes literature to patrons and answers questions in response to inquiries about shows and events. Assists with closing of the ticket office, including preparation of cash banks and updating seating charts and event information.

Role Expectations
The successful candidate amongst others will Support operations by supervising staff; planning, organizing, and implementing administrative systems. Specific functions include:

  • Ensuring movies are displayed at the appropriate time
  • Programming movie for display at the box office
  • Ensuring customers are duly satisfied
  • Problem solving arising from customers
  • Sending daily reports to movie distributors
  • Coordinating orderliness among customers
  • Working in line with the projectionist for upcoming movies and movie changes
  • Must maintain up-to-date financial records of all ticket sales, receipts, processes and deposits.
  • Supervise the box office team
  • Ensure adequate ticket/stationary stock is in place at the Box Office at all times
  • To induct and train staff in selling technique and products knowledge
  • Cash management and control to ensure staff are adhering of all procedures detailed for concession operations
  • Understand the audit process and standard required
  • To provide services to customer
  • Responsible for stock requisition
  • Complete any necessary paper work such as inventory sheet, daily cash reports, appraisal form etc.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum SSCE / OND in any relevant field

Reports To: Business Manager Cinemas

Role Target

  • This role is responsible for supervising and coordinating the team of box office Assistants on a day to day basis, ensuring that they are kept up to date with internal communications, coordinating rosters and timesheets and maximising box office sales through effective customer service, supervision and training of box office staff..

Role Expectations
The successful candidate’s specific functions include:

  • Coordinating departmental staff/work force
  • Ensuring movies are displayed at the appropriate time
  • Programming movie for display at the box office
  • Ensuring customers are duly satisfied
  • Problem solving arising from customers
  • Sending daily reports to movie distributors
  • Coordinating orderliness among staff
  • Working in line with the projectionist for upcoming movies and movie changes
  • Must maintain up-to-date financial records of all ticket sales, receipts, processes and deposits.
  • Set and maintain a highly professional attitude towards serving the public for all members of the box office team
  • In conjunction with the Box Office Manager ensure the Box Office is adequately staffed to deal with customer demand
  • Supervise the box office team
  • Ensure adequate ticket/stationary stock is in place at the Box Office at all times
  • Understand the audit process and standard required
  • To provide services to customer
  • Responsible for stock requisition
  • Complete any necessary paper work such as inventory sheet, daily cash reports, appraisal form etc.
  • To oversees daily operations in all concession stand
  • To maintain inventory controls /levels for all products
  • To induct and train staff in selling technique and products knowledge
  • Cash management and control to ensure staff are adhering of all procedures detailed for concession operations
  • Understand the audit process and standard required
  • To provide services to customer
  • Responsible for stock requisition

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum OND / B.Sc in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Finance or a closely related field.
  • Relevant 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
