We at Franelta&Basbra are looking for an innovative and driven business development officer to join our growing team at our Market Action division, which is the alternative asset management vehicle at Franelta&Basbra Data Limited. This division is enabled by a rich data & analytics infrastructure and by employing a multi-manager approach, aims to provide investing partners with solid and sustainable risk-adjusted returns on their investments.

 Job Title: Sales Representative
Location: Lagos & Port Harcourt, Rivers
Summary of Job Role
  • The Sale representative role is a direct marketing role involving field sales and marketing, in which you will promote the company’s products and services to an audience of both existing and potential customers. It is the job of the sales representative to help increase sales by raising the profile of the business, through targeted promotional marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • The individual must be a good communicator, have a passion for marketing, and be confident, intelligent, smart, creative and innovative.
  • The person must also be goal/target oriented, self-driven and able to work under pressure.
  • The person will set up in-person appointments, correspondence & phone contact with individuals and corporate clients.
  • Identify new customers & sales opportunities and cultivate a database of qualified leads through cold calls and networking.
  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports

Educational Qualification
  • OND/ HND/ B.Sc Degree in any field.
Requirements & Skills:
  • Proven work experience as a sales representative
  • Strong relationship building skills & an entrepreneurial drive required
  • Proficiency in the use of emails, and excellent use of Microsoft office
  • Minimum of 1-3 years sales experience, face to face direct sales and B2B sale
  • Be able to achieve targets and meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively reach decision-makers and quickly determine opportunity potential
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills both written and oral in a professional manner
  • Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Ability to travel when necessary to meet with customers and/or stakeholders and build business relationships
  • Compensation package is competitive and largely commission based. You are paid based on the percentage of the sales you make in addition to fixed incentives.

Job Title: Business Development Officer
Job Summary
  • The individual in this role would be responsible for indentifying sales leads, analyzing our customer base and current sales strategies and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and profitability.
  • We are seeking a candidate who is creatively-minded and eager to think outside the box when it comes to our customers and their needs.
  • Candidates with a background in sales who are analytically minded and motivated will do well in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze current customer base, including portfolios to identify potential sales opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with customers, outside business contacts, and company stakeholders
  • Review and communicate proposals and cost estimates to customers and stakeholders
  • Negotiate timelines and budgets
  • Develop and test unique business strategies and concepts
  • Collaborate with colleagues and peers on the sales, marketing, and product development teams to improve overall customer experience and satisfaction
  • Stay up to date on company best practices, policies, products, pricing, and promotions
  • Increase overall sales efficiency and profitability through excellent salesmanship
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent experience in related field (example: 2 plus years in a sales or business development environment) will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with relevant software, such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
