Job Title: Partnership Coordinator

Location: Borno

The Role

  • The Partnership Coordinator will support program and support staff who manage partnerships in individual projects and programs.
  • It is a cross-cutting role involving technical assistance and support to ensure high quality, feedback and learning in our partnerships. S/he will work closely with Awards Manager and the Deputy Team Leader Operations.
  • The Partnerships Coordinator is a key position working together with stakeholders and partners across North East Nigerian Humanitarian Response to coordinate, monitor and support the successful implementation of the Partnership Framework.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:

  • At least 5 years working experience in development field, with at least 3 years experience in partnership based programming
  • Experience with supporting organizational capacity strengthening processes
  • Extensive knowledge of and credibility with local and national NGO partners
  • Knowledge about core elements of approach to work in partnerships
  • Familiarity with humanitarian assistance and long-term development work in order to communicate effectively with partners
  • A full understanding of political, economic and social contexts of North East Nigeria
  • Excellent training/facilitation, negotiation, conflict handling, presentation, networking and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Master Degree, preferably in any subject of Social Science or related field.
  • An understanding of and commitment to, the aim of SCI as an organisation working for social change and active in the promotion of the rights of the child.

Job Title: Partnership Accountant

Location: Borno


The Role

  • The Partnerships Accountant will be working closely with local partners for regular financial monitoring and compliance of local partners across North East Nigerian Humanitarian.
  • Key areas of accountability are sub-award management and monitoring and has a role in partner capacity building.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:

  • 3 years of experience within the Finance & Sub-award unit preferable with international organization
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, individuals with practical experience may be considered
  • Experience in assessment and remote monitoring of partners
  • Knowledge about core elements of finance compliance and accountancy standards
  • Familiarity with humanitarian assistance and long-term development work in order to communicate effectively with partners
  • Knowledge of finance and operational controls in regards to cash transfer programming

Desirable:

  • Master Degree, preferably in Accountancy/ or Business Administration
  • Has previous experience working in a humanitarian response

Job Title: Driver

Location: Borno
Slot: 3

The Role

  • The driver is responsible for the safe driving of Save the Children International vehicle, staff and assets.
  • The Driver will ensure cleaning, proper maintenance of vehicles in compliance with the Driver’s handbook and safe driving standards, ensuring the vehicle is fuelled in time for trips and the proper management of the fuel supply for that vehicle.
  • The driver should do so in accordance with SCI policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:

  • A full and clean driving license
  • Should have 3-5 years experience of professional driving
  • Prior experience as a driver in an international NGO, UN agency or private company
  • Ability to multi-task and work calmly under pressure is essential for this position 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in insecure environments is critical
  • Some practical experience of user vehicle maintenance
  • Personal Qualities:
